Katherine managed to refine the heavy red blush threatening to color her cheeks, instead keeping it a rather flattering pink. Eward's question was both provocative and telling; Katherine, despite herself, was forced to think on that night more than she had since then. She was determined to not lie, but it was seeming a tempting proposition at the moment.
"I made a mistake I should not have made," Katherine finally responded, holding her crossed arms closer to her chest. That was a rather...succinct way of putting it. She had indeed done just that, for it was certainly a mistake for a betrothed virgin to off and bed anyone, let alone a childhood companion, but Katherine knew that there was more than that. She just could not say it.
