Katherine looked on as Eward mulled over her words, pouring himself a drink. It had always disgusted her that men saw fit to drink whenever company was around, but it somehow wasn't bothering her. Perhaps in private it was more habitual than forced.
Her eyes flashed when Eward suggested exactly what she had every intention of asking of him, but in her expression, too, was fear. Never had anyone actually suggested that there would be honest punishments if she was found out, let alone call the secret a deadly one. Miles was the only person who knew, and he would not have said anything risky to her for worry of scaring himself. Katherine took a deep breath, replying simply, "Yes," her voice firm and earnest.
