Hey, guys! It's Afton again, with another char. Meet Lady Marie Angélique Thérèse Zéphyrine Worthington, mostly known as Angélique or Ange/Angel if you're close to her, although certain people in her mother's family refer to her as Zéphyrine (there are a great deal too many Marie's and Thérèse's about). She is the daughter of the Duke of Huntingdon, a cousin of the king of England who until recently held a post as an ambassador to France. Her mother is a daughter of the Duc d'Aumont, a Prince of the Blood. On both sides, Angel is descended from royalty and she is related to a number of reigning monarchs, and she doesn't ever forget it.

She was born in Paris and has spent most of her life in and around Versailles, and is utterly miserable in England. She misses neverending parties, gambling, dancing until dawn. The world beyond palace gates was nothing but a vague outline, and she still feels like that, but now she's stuck in England, where the Queen is an old frump, there's no Petite Trianon and she won't get to marry a Prince of the Blood. ... To say she does not appreciate the ideals of the Revolution might be understating things.

Angel is up for anything plotwise especially if it is anything which might foil the Revolution, save the Queen of France and generally cause misery to someone else. She's bored and a bored courtier is always happy to create a little scandal, ruin a new reputation. She's also got to marry someone... if they're appropriately well-bred, of course.
