It's not your heart you've been thinking of, just the feeling that you're going to die
She's visibly angry, sitting there on the couch. Her arms are folded over her chest, one leg bouncing as she kicks her foot. It's a strange reaction when Floyd walks in - her demeanor changes where he's involved. He gets an honest smile, Etty happy to see him. She's wearing the necklace he left for her.
She slips back into the anger, though. It's nearly unstoppable. Jealousy, anger, love, hate, it all bleeds together to make for a rather moody Etienne. There's food in the kitchen, and she's ignoring it. There's a bowl packed on the coffee table, and she's not smoking it. Her phone sits perched on her knee, waiting for a reply.
Instead, she pulls up the conversation with Katie, and hands the phone to Floyd. "That's what's going on. Your friend," she sneers the word, "decided to leave me a heart in a box. A literal heart in a box. So yours isn't the first heart I've been given this week." She touches the necklace. That one, she loves. The other unfurled that venomous anger. "And yeah, I admit, I was shitty in that first message."
