Evan's eyes tracked Jared's every move. He heard the words his friend said, but he didn't comment. It was easier to just listen, and watch. Especially when Jared stretched to reach the bottle high on the shelf. Evan noted how his legs muscles tightened and the barest hint of love handles showed at his hips when he reached and stretched so far.
It took him a couple seconds to realise Jared had asked him a question. he'd been so focused on the visual that he'd toned out the auditory. He drew an awkward breath, shifted his focus to looking at Jared. Eye contact was still, and would likely always be difficult for him, but he quite liked looking into Jared's eyes.
He swallowed, tried to ignore the fact his palms were getting clammy. "I...yeah. I remember those." He didn't know Fireballs had to do with drinks, though. He trusted Jared would explain. Jared knew a lot more about that kind of thing. Evan had never even really thought about drinking, or learning how to make mixed drinks.
