Jared watched the other, raising a brow when the other slid his hand over the laptop. He tried to hold back a snort, honestly finding the action one of the cutest—albeit also one of the weirdest—actions he'd ever seen. Then Evan was picking it up, moving it away, and turning those intensely feeling eyes on him.
Jared knew it was dangerous to hold that gaze for long. It would be far to easy to just fall into those deep, dark eyes. There was something else in his gaze too. Something new. And when Evan smoke up, smiling and glancing at his laptop, only to catch his eyes once more, fun glittering in them—Jared was a goner.
He was also highly suspicious that maybe, just maybe, the thing he'd teased Evan about when he first walked in had been exactly what he had been doing.
Well... shit. That was hot. Really, fucking hot. But... just because he was watching porn didn't mean it was guy on guy porn so really, it was not only hot that Evan had actually been watching something that had the sole purpose of getting him turned on. But also extremely frustrating because Evan was probably straight—though sometimes he'd wondered with the way he talked about Connor, fake or not. But even if he had been attracted to Connor, Jared was definitely not Connor-esque attractive. Not even close on the spectrum. He wasn't super buff. He wasn't even fit. While he wasn't necessarily overweight, he had a bit of pudge that never really bothered him but now, it might have been just a little. All he had going for him were that his legs were in really good shape. He had biking and all the activities from camp to thank for that. He just wished it was easier to tone the rest of him. He mentally shrugged, deciding that it wasn't going to make a difference either way, so obsessing over it was pointless.
Besides, Evan was talking. Evan was definitely talking and saying that he wasn't doing anythng and they could celebrate. He'd also noticed the non-answer at the question about Mrs. Hansen having anything around. Well, that wasn't a problem.
"No sweat, dude," he said, getting up and pulling his car keys from his pocket. He swung one of their metal rings around his finger. "Just grab some clothes and stuff. Bring your laptop cause I know you can't go anywhere without that." He smirked. "Call your mom and let her know where you'll be. Let her know my parents love when you come over so you'll definitely be in good hands."
He waited a beat before continuing. "In absolutely no circumstances, do not tell her that my parents are totally not home right now and will not be back for another week to week and a half. Or that they never, ever lock the liquor cabinets. Ever."
