READ THESE THOROUGHLY!
1. Flock all posts. This includes journal posts and IG posts.
1A. Your character will be given a tag once he/she is accepted. Please use your character's tag each time you make or reply to a post.
2. IC =/= OOC. Some characters won't like each other, period. Characters that everyone likes are called Stus and Sues, and we don't tolerate any of that. If a character is being mean and making your character cry/hurting his/her feelings, don't take it personal. In other words, save the drama for your momma and don't carry OOC/IC feelings in game or out of game.
3. No netspeak. No asterisks or smilies, except in a character's journal. When writing out threads, do not abbreviate or use asterisks and emoticons to convey emotions and actions. The journals your character is keeping is hand-written and meant for their eyes only, so there will be no replies unless it's an OOC reply to start a thread.
4. On smut/slash, etc. Do it. We don't care. But, please, put a little thought into it. Don't just bang a character because they're hot and it's gratuitous; that's just boring.
5. You MUST be over eighteen. This goes with the above. As there's adult situations in the game, you must be over the age of eighteen.
6. No godmodding. Unless you have expressed permission from the mun to godmod, don't do it.
7. On babies. If you have a couple and you're just dying to have a baby together, make sure that the both of you agree on it. Pregnancies WILL last the full nine months, unless there's a miscarriage for some reason. Again, make sure this miscarriage is agreed upon by both muns. Pregnancy is a very serious plot in a game, so take time to actually think about it instead of jumping into it.
8. No Stus/Sues. If your character has violet eyes, don't even bother to apply. Keep your Stus and your Sues away from our game. Everyone has flaws, and we're not into your cute little bouncy-haired redhead who cries at the drop of a hat.
9. Choose an appropriate PB. Please. No overly thin women or perfect men. In other words, choose people you'd see in real life. Yes, some people do look above average, but keep in mind what these people have been through; they're not going to be supermodels.
10. Fill out the app completely! But don't bore us. We want well-written apps that have some thought put into them.
11. On death. Yes, there will probably be some character deaths, but if you DO plan on killing your character, put some thought into it please. Don't just kill them so everyone who was close to him/her will sit around and mourn your character, and do make sure that it's alright with the muns of the characters who are.
12. Character limit. Right now, our character limit is five characters per mun.
13. Character drops. If you must drop a character, you can make them available for adoption or you can give permission for other muns to NPC him/her.
14. On threading. As not everyone is comfortable playing in messenger or being on messenger, this is primarily an IJ based RP, meaning that interactions are played out in the set Asylum (
too_late). You can play them either third person or first, but all tags must be present-tense and at least a few sentences long so the mun has something to respond to. If you'd like to do a scene in messenger, that's fine, but all messenger RPing is considered to be OOC unless both muns agree that it's IG. If both agree to it, please save the log and place it in the main comm.Posting style. All posts are to be labeled as follows -
Who: Your character & whomever they're interacting with. If the thread is open to anyone, please say so, and please also say if multiple characters are welcome or if you'll only accept tags from one character.
Where: Where this interaction takes place.
When: The date and whether it's morning, afternoon, evening or night. The year is 2013, but the month and date will be the same as the one we're on.
Rating: Please label the rating of your thread (G-NC-17). If you're unsure, please put TBD, then put the actual rating once the thread is finished. Also put any necessary warnings here, i.e. gay sex, BDSM, cutting, suicidal tendencies, severe violence, gore, or anything that would be a squick to most people.
15. In order to live here, your character must work. He/she will be assigned a job. You, the mun, may choose said job. There is a list of them here. Please include which duty your character will have in the application.
