On the farm:
Milking cows
Veterinary care for livestock
Horse training
Cattle branding and slaughtering
Managing chickens, ducks, and geese (feeding, gathering eggs, watering)
Plow driver
Tractor driver
Fuel tank manager (this is the only fuel. There are five fuel tanks parked just outside the farming area. The manager's duty is to ration it out accordingly among the hands who drive heavy equipment.)
Truck driver (hauls hay and other necessities to the farm)
Rice farmer (several positions of this available; includes picking and inspecting rice)
Lawn mower
Tac keeper (tac is equipment used for horses and cattle i.e. halters, saddles, etc.)
Woodworker/builder
Vegetable crop managers (basically, they grow the vegetables and pick them when they're ready)
Fruit crop managers
Health inspector (inspects meat and dairy products for disease and quality)
Irrigation managers (there IS water underground; it's the irrigation manager's job to filter it and make it safe for drinking)
Tobacco farmers
If you know of any other duties that are performed on a farm and you'd rather your character perform that duty, say so in your application.

In the office:
Record keeper (keeps a record of all incoming survivors and where they're staying)
Farm record keeper (keeps a record of anything going on in the farm)
Inventory taker
Police secretary
Newspaper reporters: (yes, they do have a newspaper. If you want this job, please include a sample article)

Gossip
Advice

Ham radio report

Medical services:
Doctors
Nurses
Surgeons
Any other medical staff

There's a hospital two miles away from the community. The one ambulance and police cruiser are the only vehicles allowed fuel outside the farm. The hospital runs on generated electricity which is limited and flickers often, but it's the best they have.

Law & order:
Sheriff

Food & drink:
Cooks
Meat professionals (aka butchers)
Poultry professionals
Vegetable cleaners
Water managers
Soda managers (soda is a big treat, so ration it out well)
Canned goods inspectors/inventory keepers (keeps up with the dates of canned goods and the contents)
Supermarket scavengers (supermarkets smell terrible. These are the brave people who go in with gas masks and raid whatever no perishable items from any supermarket they can find)

Cleaning up:
Body disposers (dead people are found from time to time and need to be burned)
Any regular house cleaning tasks (washing dishes will be a big task because they must use a water pump to do it with)

Other:
Ham radio operator (your job will be to listen in on the ham radio during your shift and talk into it every half hour to check for more survivors around the world)
Seamstress/tailor
Animal control (keeping wild animals away)
Beer makers
