It was all kind of confusing. When they arrived, Mr. Stark assumed Narya would be staying in the dorms so had given her a room, but Heather had assumed she'd be staying with her and Macdaddy. Mr. Stark said he hadn't expected her to be so young and Narya had been asked to go play while the grown-ups talked, and so she wrote on the blogs and even talked to her new roommate but she was kind of nervous because she knew the grown-ups were talking about her. When it was all done Heather explained that she could stay in the dorms if she wanted to try it, but Narya was supposed to come have family dinner with Mac and Heather every day and bring her homework to do there. Heather also said that staying in the dorms might not work out, and if it didn't Narya would come live with Macdaddy and Heather and this wouldn't be a punishment, it was just that the dorms were meant for older students and she was only two months old and looked eleven and the next youngest student was thirteen, so they were making a bit of an exception. Narya nodded and assured everyone that she would be very very grown up and responsible about it all and tell Heather right away if there were any problems and it was just the next building anyway so it wasn't actually very far if something went wrong which it wouldn't because she would be seriously on it. Heather still seemed a little worried, but she said ok.
Narya said thank you lots of times! Then she went to color Miss Susan a picture because she said she would. It was a picture of the two of them, but Narya didn't know what Miss Susan looked like but her last name was Storm, so she drew her as a raincloud with a lightning bolt and drew herself as an owl. That was called symbolism.
Then she picked up her suitcases, which seemed kind of heavier since she got to New York, and went to her room and knocked on the door.
