Author Notes: For "coins" at tolkien_weekly. This one is especially challenging for me since Tolkien barely refers to commerce, even less to currency. In Middle-Earth, "coins" is used but three times, always in passing, always associated with Dwarves, though twice in company with a Hobbit. Being excessively canon-bound, I turned to Gimli. Any double entendre was unintended but welcomed.
