He immediately got a sharp office scissor and cut across the kid's baseball uniform. Upon closer inspection, he noted that not only did he "swallow" glass. Some even punctured him on the abdomen. He got a thumb forcep and some iodine soaks and removed the tiny shards. It wasn't long enough when he heard the aghast yelling of the ER doctor.
Common knowledge, what? He trained his sight on the patient. Vitals still not rising, hemorrhage controlled, what was he yelling about. He looked at the IV line. Maybe it's not flowing---
THEN IT HIT HIM. BLUE. PLAIN LACTATED RINGERS.
HE HOOKED THE BLUE-LABELED IV BAG ON. Which explains why the vitals still aren't rising. And the patient still is gasping for air.
