"Of course I do." Amelia replied, smiling in that side-smile manner she had perfected over the years. "And I know all the manners it was... attempted to be altered in the following decades. To change what those are- to dismiss the sacrifices, well how meaningless would that be?" She raised her glass to her lips then, looking out over the city as well. It was beautiful, even more so when some creep wasn't trying to shove his hand up her robes. Her mother would be disappointed, of course, but for one night- Amelia wanted one night off.
"Because if they weren't, why would they be secrets?" She asked in reply, raising her glass in a mock salute. "How old are you, anyway. You can't be more than twenty to be tricked out here already. Are they really so desperate?"
