We three will burn
CHARACTERS: Scorpius Malfoy, Grayson Wood, Damien Richards
SETTING: Grayson and Damien's flat
DATE: February 18th
SUMMARY: An extremist, a liberal and a conservative walked into a bar... Well actually they're in a flat, but close enough.
Scorpius appeared with a pop in the foyer to Damien and Grayson's flat. Only the latter of the two boys would approve of his arrival, so on his way over he had thought to purchase alcohol as a peace-offering. His fingers combed through his long hair before wrapping his knuckles sharply against the door - loudly just in case a certain someone was making a racket within. He generally preferred visiting Grayson to Grayson visiting him, simply because at the manor he had to worry about keeping the noise down and not letting family overhear the subject matter of their conversations. There was more freedom at the flat, so long as he kept out of Damien's way and Damien kept out of his.
This time Scorpius had more pressing reasons to stay away from the manor. Following the burning of the Prophet headquarters, his mother had flown into an outrage. She was a senior employee there and had a lot to say on the matter. It was a simple fact that Astoria Malfoy was a workaholic. Scorpius had become estranged from her because of it, barely speaking to her except in front of company for sake of appearances. This sudden change in routine, having her in the house at hours she would usually be out of it, made it tense enough for Scorpius without the added stress of hearing her frequent expressions of indignation over the fire to anyone who would listen.
The flat was supposed to be a salvation of sorts for Scorpius. It wasn't ideal, but it would do. Besides, he could do with talking over things with Grayson. In the bag with the alcohol was a copy of Vox Populi he had picked up while at the store. Not one of his usual purchases, but the story had caught his attention made him read at the counter until the store owner made him throw down a few coins for the paper. It struck him personally, first from having been there when the fire happened, and secondly from having a better inkling than most about the inner workings of the Prophet. The way they distorted information was well known to him, but as a strict conservative, he wasn't sure if he was allowed to be moved by the article.
Scorpius knocked again in case the two occupants of the flat hadn't heard the first time.
