Lucifer and Kate
"And let you gloat about it? Never." Kate replied, giving him a smile that was genuine as she let go of him. But even though she wasn't touching him anymore, she made sure to meet his eyes. "But all joking aside.....you have no idea what this means to me, Lucifer. Thank you, really."
Somehow, someway she'd repay him for what he had done. Telling him thank you was so far from adequate repayment.
Wiping at her cheeks again, she tried to think about what had happened on the ship that Lucifer might need to know. Really, not that much had happened, Halloween had come and gone, Thanksgiving had come and gone, and now they were all thankfully off the ship and enjoying some real sunshine and all the amenities that Risa could provide them. "Well, the rest of the ship kept saying that the Lounge was very quiet and maybe a little dull without you," she said, not that Kate could comment for herself. Since she wasn't drinking anymore, and without Lucifer there to talk to, she had avoided the Lounge altogether since he had left. "Castle threw a murder mystery party that went over pretty well, some other people threw a rager on the holodeck with costumes and everything for Halloween, I had a birthday, Castle and I celebrated a wedding anniversary, and the entire ship just floated through space to end up here on Risa, en route to whatever mission Starfleet sends us on next."
