Lucifer and Kate
Lucifer was right, Kate had definitely been avoiding him. And, if not for wanting to come to the bonfire and mingle with a few people from the ship, she would have continued to do so for at least a few more days.
She had bypassed on drinks, one of the necessities of she and Castle's attempts for a baby, and instead sat near the fire, mostly just people watching while she waited for Rick to reappear from wherever he'd wandered off too. Idly brushing sand off the hem of her blue maxi-dress, Kate turned her head at the sound of Lucifer's voice, actively working to keep her face as neutral as possible. Years of detective work had given her an exceptional poker face, which was good since she couldn't quite decide if she wanted to laugh or to snarl at him.
She settled somewhere in between, giving him the slight twitch of her lips as she dropped her floor-length skirt back to the sand, "Hey Lucifer."
