	Alana got someone to babysit. She didn't like being away from Hazel considering how she lost her before. She wouldn't be long. Being pregnant, she couldn't have any alcohol, but she could have something that tasted like alcohol. She sat at the bar and sipped from a ridiculous looking glass. Alana raised an eyebrow when she heard what it was called. Pretty straight forward. "Thanks..." She rubbed her belly, still not showing yet. She wasn't that far along and Petrichor only knew because she was magic or some shit.

"I can't drink alcohol, bad for the ... unplanned baby." She said with gritted teeth. Immediately, she regretted it. "Not that I don't want it!" Alana really didn't want to talk about it-- "You're ... the one with the host, right? From the network?"

"I know the feeling. Both with my husband before I came here, and the woman I'm seeing now," Jadzia admitted, with an air of gossip to her voice.

"Then you're just you. I became Joined over ten years ago, after years of training and study to be able to pass all the tests. After Dax was Joined to me, I gained the memories and experience of six previous hosts. It changed a person. Jadzia before and after isn't entirely the same person, but I'm not the same as any other host, nor is Dax the same. But who I am and was in all cases, is still there."

"Its very rare, but a human can be a host for several days. There's one instance in a future ship named Enterprise, where the host was injured, and so the Symbiont was temporarily transferred to a human. It's not sustainable, it would kill both if it went on too long, but in an emergency it worked." Jadzia looked thoughtful. "Two eyes seem to be the most common in the Alpha Quadrant, but we have the Preservers to thank for that."

Lomea strode into the lounge, making her way to the bar and ordering a drink. With her drink in hand, she then walked to the large windows looking out into space and sipped at it. Outwardly, she was the picture of calm and most who could sense emotion or thought would not pick up on much save the duality within her.

In her thoughts though, she kept turning back to the things she missed. Hawke, her apprentice, the first Harley she'd known ... and most of all Elsa, who's absence still felt like a hole in her chest. There was probably no one on board to admit that feeling to, which relieved her. It also annoyed her, but she certainly wasn't going to reflect on that.

Turning back, she scanned the crowd to see if there was anyone of particular interest she wanted to make eye contact with.

Mary and OTA

Tonight Mary was having wine. A rich merlot. It had been a relatively relaxing day on board. She and Howard had spent a bit of time together, which always brightened up her mood. He made her happy in way that she hadn't felt in a long time.

Howard was always incredibly thoughtful with her, giving her gifts and surprises, treating her like a queen. She wanted to give something back to him, though she wasn't sure what. Mary wasn't terribly artistic or creative. For now she had settled upon writing him a heartfelt letter - one on actual paper. That had been hard enough to find, so she hoped he would at least appreciate that.

She scribbled a bit on the paper before pausing to take a sip of wine and look around the lounge. It was somewhat quiet that evening. Even though she was working on her letter, she would welcome company. She doubted she would finish it this evening anyway.
