Leia looked up and smiled in greeting as the young man crossed the room to where she was sitting in the mess hall, a half-finished bowl of soup and a mug of caf scattered about along with her PADD in front of her on the table. She gave him a wave and gestured to the seat across from her. "Otabek," she said. "Have a seat. Nice to meet you fave to face."

She sat up a little straighter and sipped her caf. "How are you doing? You're new here, yes? Adjusting well enough?" Leia knew it wasn't easy to adjust like this, especially if, as she suspected, Otabek was from Earth and thus probably had never been in outer space before.
