Welcome to the Deck 5 Lounge

Clark couldn't help but wince. It wasn't something he enjoyed thinking about - actively avoided it, really - especially when it came to his relationship with Lois. Or with anyone. He put both hands around his glass and nodded. "I've known for a while now that I'll outlive everyone I know. I don't think that means we shouldn't bother forming relationships."

He realized after he spoke that that hadn't been what she asked at all. He smiled a little. "It's the same thing, just in a different situation."

	She smiled, letting his words sink in. Seeing him fight had helped remind her there were things worth fighting for. That coming back to the world was worth it. So his words had weight. "To feel, instead of not feeling. It makes us more... human." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Even when we are not," she agreed. She was about as human as Clark was, which was to say not really. She might have lived among them for a century, but part of her had always longed for home. "I am afraid I do not know too much about you. Only what Lois and Bruce told me, and what was publicly known in the media. Considering how the media's mood could vacillate between love and hatred, it probably isn't very accurate."

She eyed him over her drink. "According to Lois, my Clark sometimes slipped into a midwest accent. Is that true for you, too?"
