Who: Peter Parker and OTA (Multiples Welcome)
Where: Lounge
When: 226408.20
What: Peter's annoyed by what happened on Fornax, and his loneliness continues to get worse.
Rating: Low
Status: Ongoing and OPEN

The extremely light and bouncy material of the neon green ball crushed flat against the surface of the Enterprise inner hull, lighting up as it hit before darkening again as it flew back straight into Peter's hand. The ball left his hand once more to repeat the process, hitting the exact same spot, at the exact same speed, before returning at the exact same velocity. The young man seemed forlorn, quiet, distant. It wasn't surprising, anyone who knew him, knew he'd been suffering from homesickness and loneliness since Dani had left and others seemed to pair off and find loves, and friends, and all of these other things and he kind of became a forgotten thing. At least, in his mind.

He'd been getting worse with it, and he wasn't entirely sure why. It'd never been that big of a thing for him. He'd always felt lonely, even when surrounded by friends, but never to this degree. Back home, he felt lonely because he always seemed to push people away by trying to keep them at a distance from his alter ego. Here? He wasn't doing that, but yet felt out of his league in many ways, felt out of his element, or even unnecessary.

Sighing a bit, he just laid back in the lounge chair, slumped deep into the cushions, throwing his ball at the wall and watching it come back to his hand. Thinking about Fornax didn't help the matters at all. He'd noted something going on in the systems there, and tried to stop it, but unfortunately it had led to him being arrested, and if it weren't for him contacting the Enterprise, he was pretty certain no one would have ever noticed he was missing. He'd probably he still on that planet, even more alone in a jail cell in the middle of the Universe. What's more, he felt like either he was rusty, or stupid, or both. Was he getting bad at his former job all of a sudden? It was definitely possible.

Parker spent plenty of times messing around in the science department, but they all seemed to have someone to go to after shifts, or a group to hang out with. He had his room, and more science, or staring out into space. Here? The lounge? At least there was the semblance of sound as people meandered through the lounge, or music played, and he had a drink. So, he had that going for him. He guessed.

He really needed to get out of that rut, but he certainly didn't know how.

Lydia hadn't gone down to the planet since she arrived. Having still adjusted and then the storm. It seemed everything was keeping her from venturing out like she wanted. So she stayed in. Having entered the lounge, she would look around for the moment. Her fire red hair would be loose as usual as she came to take a seat not far from Peter.

Ordering a glass of water, since she wasn't sure what they served on this ship she wanted to keep it simple. Blue green eyes came to look once more before noticing Peter a second time. "Are you okay?" She asked a questions he asked herself a few times. Despite Issac and Derek being here, Lydia did feel alone.

A look Peter wore on his face that she knew all too well since arriving her. So, she came off her seat and came to sit closer to him. "You look like you could use a friend. " She said with a very light smile.

Peter hadn't even noticed the girl sit down next to him, but instead continued to throw the ball at the wall, bouncing it off and back into his hand again and again, catching it before he finally looked over at the sound of someone approaching. The red hair caught his attention first, blinking a few times as he tucked the ball into his pants pocket, then sat up in his chair to watch her.

As if moving in slow motion, it took him a second to respond, almost not expecting anyone to come sit with him. He just turned up his brow, "I uh... yea, probably," His smile tucking at the corner of his lips.

"Just gets a bit lonely here, is all. Sorry, didn't mean to disturb anyone here."

"You didn't," Lydia replied with as she came to sip at her water once more as she glanced at a few others around. "I know all about lonely." She added as she came to brush her red hair from her face and look at Peter for the moment. "I'm new here." She replied as she held her hand out.

"Lydia." She said introducing herself to him. Already she would have her hand brought back as she sipped her water once more.

Peter smiled and nodded, looking down at his hands as his fingers laced together, his brow furrowed, before he looked over towards Lydia once more. Staring at the young woman, he smiled and reached his hand out to take hers, shaking it some before nodding, "Pleasure, Lydia. I'm Peter. You're new here, how long?"

Once their handshake was finished, Peter turned towards the bar to order one of the ales, then turned back towards Lydia, "I'm sorry you feel lonely."

"I've been here a few days." She replied as she brought her hand back and came to place it around her water once more. When he said he was sorry she was alone, she just shrugged her shoulders for the moment. "Loneliness is inevitable." She replied with.

"Nice to meet you, Peter. How long have you been here?"

Natasha had been at the lounge already, a place she had become a regular at. Something she wasn't sure was a good thing. But as she sat with her drink she came to notice Peter sitting alone. A look on his face that she knew all to well was all over his face. A deep sigh escaped her lips as she came to a stand and moved to sit with him.

"Here, it'll make all your problems disappear." She replied as she handed him the clear liquid. What was it? Thor's mead that she had managed to get her hands on while the Thunder God was busy with the others.

Peter kept bouncing the ball back and forth, when suddenly there was a glass shoved in his face. Lifting a hand he caught the ball quickly, staring at the glass, and then lifted his other hand to take it. Sitting up, he stared at the liquid, clear as it was, and sniffed it. Coughing some.

"Mead?" He looked up at her, then smirked at Nat, before taking a sip, "Thanks, but I can't get drunk." Well, that wasn't true, he could but it took a lot.

He sipped it anyway, "Sorry, if the ball bouncing was bothering you. I went with one with the quietest bouncing sound on ship."

"It's not and it will." She said about the ball and the mead. "It's from Thor's world. Strongest thing to get any of us drunk." She replied as she came to brush her red hair from her face. "I haven't seen much of you lately. Hiding?" She asked seeing how it seem to be something common in this place lately.
