Susan and Jadzia
Her fingers twitched under Jadzia's, and Susan smiled at the touch, relaxing somewhat despite the fact that she was surrounded by a room filled with strangers. This wasn't the first time that had happened, and it'd hardly be the last. Susan's eyes danced with mischief as she said, "Should it have been so exciting? It is only a diplomatic dinner, after all. And not one where any large trade deals were being worked out. Nothing all that exciting, really."
Grinning a little, she nodded. "You have unique tastes," she said, just as diplomatic as a state official. "And you're right, they should be very happy. Let's just hope we all get through the remaining evening with no incidents." Lifting her gaze, she studied the sky above, and added wryly, "And no further sandstorms."
