He trusted Peggy to know he wasn't serious about that last bit. Well. Not seriously serious. She was a beautiful woman and he wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers, but he valued her for more than just a knock-out figure and a pretty face. He wouldn't risk his relationship with her for a tumble or two, and with the two of them, that would be all it would amount to. He was too him and she was too her.
