Jean-Luc stepped into the holodeck and glanced around with a smile. "Surprise me seems to have worked out well for us this time. Let us hope that next time it does not land us in a place where dancing would not be appropriate," he chuckled low. The party seemed to be well attended, but there would be plenty of room on the dance floor for him and Beverly to take up a place when we decided to do so.
"I suppose it makes sense that once he could see your feet he would be able to pick up on it relatively quickly," Jean-Luc mused. "It's interesting that he had such a difficulty with it, although perhaps not surprising. A waltz holds a good amount of human emotion in the movement, and that's something that would be difficult for Data to be able to pick up - it is not just movement. I suppose all dance has that emotion, but some the moves are equally important and more readily defined as the 'dance', if that makes sense. I take it that he was able to learn to dance correctly?" Jean-Luc looked over at her curiously.
It looked as if there was a bar on the other side, perhaps they could get a drink before they started dancing, or perhaps after. Regardless, it seemed as if it would be a good option for spending a few hours. Dancing, a drink, some conversation, and Jean-Luc was delighted to have the opportunity to do this with Beverly. It was good to have her here and the option to be available.
