Captain Jean-Luc Picard ([info]makeitso) wrote in [info]toboldlyrpg,
Beverly's arrival on the Enterprise had been something that Jean-Luc counted very good indeed. It had been interesting getting himself accustomed to a different time, and the pondering about how the Prime Directive applied when it was your own world, or at least, a version of it, and an earlier time. He caught himself frequently guarding words and trying to be certain he was not giving too much away, or perhaps damaging this timeline and this group of people despite his unexpected arrival. Thus it was that finding Beverly here had turned into something that was a bit of a relief. While they might not be from precisely the same moment in time, there was a shared history there - and just as he could with Riker, or even with Deanna, he could relax with Beverly.

So he was glad for the time open to spend with her as he reached the deck and offered a friendly greeting, pondering her question momentarily.

"I can't recall it if you have," he offered openly. "But I do hope you're going to share now that you've brought it up, because otherwise you're going to leave me wondering what happened. Data and dance are two words I don't think of as belonging together."
