Trying out the holodeck (open)
Ax stands on the holodeck, surrounded by the illusion of an open field and here and there a few of the trees of his homeworld. They're tall and thin with colorful tops, a little like multicolored asparagus or maybe paintbrushes in appearance. He doesn't have a difficult time programming different simulations, and it definitely stimulates his mind to a point. Sometimes he sets up simulations to practice in one of his morphs, wanting to keep his skills sharp. Sometimes, he sets it up like parts of Earth, taking the opportunity to learn more for whenever he gets back.

Right now, though, he's got it set up like home, and it gives him mixed feelings. He's happy to get at least the feeling of being on his home planet, but it also makes him a little homesick for the real thing. The one thing it is missing is the taste of the grass under his feet. It feels real, and he enjoys galloping over it, but it's not actually edible. Still, it's an enjoyable experience.
