Who: Daniel Jackson & Hoshi Sato
Where: Lounge
What: Meeting and talking about culture
When: Not long after he arrived
Rating: Low
Status: Incomplete

Daniel might have more than slightly geeked out more than slightly when he realised that Hoshi was here. He had always liked her as a character - and she was attractive - seeing a lot of him - mostly his love of languages - in her, though the ease she had learned them had always made him envious. Being able to meet her and work with her was amazing and he was really looking forward to it. This entire situation though was amazing and given everything that he had encountered over his time with the Stargate program that said a lot.

Arriving in the lounge a good fifteen minutes before the time they agreed to meet - which was surprising as he often ran late due to getting involved in something - he found a counch to sit on near the window. Staring out at the stars was amazing. As he'd told Vala while it wasn't the first time he'd be on a spaceship they weren't being shot at and he had time to actually learn things, which was unusual. Usually their space trips ended up in a fight for their lives.

Plus this was Star Trek. Not the Star Trek he was familiar with but still Star Trek and the giant nerd in him was loving it. Still disbelieving but if Atlantis was real why not this? He wouldn't have guessed it but he had stopped being - mostly - surprised by things a long time ago. Or liked to pretend that he had because the Universe still liked to through him in unusual situations.

"That is a danger of it, but at the same time, there is a lot to see here and so much to explore maybe it'd be hard not to want to know what was out here in this world," Hoshi mused.

Hoshi nodded, "I guess that'll take a little bit more experimentation."

Daniel nodded at that. "I suppose that is true. There is so much to learn and see it is hard to imagine not wanting to experience it. The holodeck just offers the opportunity to explore what we have missed in the intervening centuries as well and I suppose the future and alternative worlds too," he mused.

"Which will be fun. Sam - she's a friend from home - would probably be better on the technical side of it though," he shrugged.

Nodding. Hoshi could only agree.

"Do you have other friends from home? Or is it just the one? I feel bad for some of the people here who know no one, I know most people are very welcoming, but it's nice having people around that you already know."
