Who: T'Pol and Hoshi
When: 226407.06 afternoon
Where: Mess Hall
What: Catching up with a colleague
Rating/Warnings: Low/None
Status: Closed/Ongoing

T'Pol was settling into her role on the new ship, the team she worked with seemed like they knew what they were doing which was always a good thing and while it was different it wasn't terrible. Of course, there was also the bonus of her resumed relationship with Trip. That helped more than she wished to admit to.

Retrieving her drink and slice of pie she turned to find a seat and noticed a familiar face, moving over she stopped and asked politely, "Ensign Sato, may I join you?"

"There have been some fascinating developments" T'Pol admitted, "Even beyond what Vulcan's had discovered" It was certainly an interesting time to have come to and T'Pol was looking forward to discovering new things.

"Must be kinda fun to see what's been discovered. I just can't believe this is where things evolve too, I mean I can logically, but I guess seeing it is a little bit different," Hoshi said smiling. "So, what's the most exciting development?

"It is very interesting" T'Pol agreed, "I am not sure I favour one discover over another, they have all been important even if it is for varying reasons" Which was a typical response from her but then she doubted Hoshi expected much different.

Sometimes she just couldn't help but ask to see if there was something T'Pol might favor. She smiled at the response with a nod. "I keep wondering who else might come from our ship. We seem to be getting a lot of the crew."

T'Pol suspected as much but she didn't actually mind, it was sweet in it's own way. "I have looked over the information recorded on the phenomenon and there does not seem to be a link, I imagine it is mere coincidence"

"So, you think how people come and go is just by coincidence?" Hoshi asked getting more interested in it. She might not completely get it, but the whole phenomenon was extremely weird and she did wish she understood it better.

"How they come and go must be controlled by something however there seems to be no logic that is followed to where they are taken from" T'Pol said, it was actually very frustrating.

"That must be annoying," Hoshi said with a small frown. "I mean, it's just, if there is something, what is it? And all the other endless questions I'm pretty sure we all have."

T'Pol nodded, "It does not seem that a satisfactory conclusion is going to be reached anytime soon. Which is indeed irksome" she admitted before eating a small fork full of the pecan pie.

"At least we didn't get sent to somewhere with bad food though right?" Hoshi said after a moment of thought. She didn't mind it here but sometimes she did want to go home.

At that T'Pol did give Hoshi an actual smile though it was fleeting, "Indeed. I imagine we would hear a number of complaints should that have been the case" she thought of Trip first of course.

"Can you imagine Commander Tucker's thoughts on if it were bad food?" She voices with a small laugh, she was saying it with clear respect for her commanding officer, it was just one of those things she could picture him going on about.

"I believe the entire ship would know Trip's thoughts if the food was not to his liking" T'Pol said, the hint of a smirk on her face before she raised her tea to sip from it.

Hoshi snorted a small laugh. "Yeah, I can imagine he'd ask me to make sure it was translated correctly in every language too."

"Of course" T'Pol replied honestly amused.

Laughing a little bit more, Hoshi checked the time and sighed softly. "Well, it looks like it's time to go back to shift, I have to say it's still weird not reporting directly to the bridge, it's not bad, just weird."

"Not reporting directly to Captain Archer is disconcerting" T'Pol agreed, "I believe we had reached a point where we worked well together"

"Our bridge was pretty tight," Hoshi agreed with a sad smile. "I better get to it, I'll see you later?"

"Certainly, have a good shift" T'Pol replied with a slight inclination of her head.
