What: Meeting of two Science Commanders out of time
Where: Science Labs
When: Not long after T'Pol arrives
Rating: Low
Status: Incomplete

Kathryn, didn't find being on the Enterprise too bad. It was intriguing in many ways. She was more than passingly familiar with time travel so that aspect wasn't surprising. What was, if you could call it surprising, it was more unexpected at least to her after everything that happened, was that they seemed to all have traveled dimensions as had so many other people. People coming from worlds where Starfleet didn't exist. There was so many things she wanted to question, so many things to learn. She didn't want to come on too strongly, scare people off, though she imagined that a lot of people would be willing to share stories. Some people asked for differences between this universe and her own, other Starfleet people who came from before her time. Admiral - no Captain - Archer and his crew especially. She would normally have been worried about contaminating the timeline but she had been informed upon arrival that she had been here before. She didn't remember her time here or anything that happened and to her it appeared that no time had passed. It therefore stood to reason that upon returning home they were not only returned to the exact same time but returned with no memories of their time upon the Enterprise.

Kathryn didn't know what she made of that information. It was disconcerting but at the same time reassuring in that she didn't have to worry about cross-contamination.

The Science team was a joy to work with. At this time of the timeline, even in this dimension, they were discovering so many new things. With the influence of the timeline changes and people from other worlds, what they were discovering was even more fascinating. Though she missed being the Captain, she was enjoying working in science again. It would always be her first love, even if she loved being in Command.

Coffee cup in hand, Kathryn entered the labs and noticed someone new though she recognised them. "T'Pol, correct?" she asked curiously. "Kathryn Janeway," she added introducing herself.

Kathryn nodded, she was glad to hear that and not too surprised. "I'm glad to hear that," she replied with a smile. "I do agree that having people you know here is helpful. There's a few from my crew here too which I'm glad about," she responded truthfully.

"It will take time to get used to not working as we all are used to" T'Pol allowed, it felt strange that Captain Archer was not in control of the ship. Even she had to admit that and was sure others felt the same, Janeway herself was used to being in command after all.

"That is true but it is interesting and there is so much to learn and do that I don't think it will be too hard. I could be wrong though," she said with a shrug. "What are you working on?" Kathryn asked curiously.

"I am currently ensuring I am up to date with the advances that have occurred since my time" T'Pol answered, "There is much to learn"

Kathryn nodded in agreement. "That's always a good thing. Has there been much?" she asked curiously.

"More than I expected" T'Pol admitted, before giving a brief overview of developments which were different from her time and which had the biggest advancements.

Kathryn nodded. She wasn't surprised between the changed timeline and her own memory. "I think a lot of that is this new timeline but I do know even in my timeline there was a lot of advances between the time of your Enterprise and the version of this one. It's fascinating though to compare," she admitted.

"Reading the history of this timeline is certainly enlightening, though Starfleet have been able to maintain a high level of competency in their recruitment. I am glad to see this is the case" T'Pol said, being as complimentary as she ever really got.

"Thank you," Kathryn nodded and yes. "It is, there might be a few problems here and there but overall Starfleet does and continues into my time to do a wonderful job at what we set out to do," she admitted with a nod.

"Of course" she nodded, "It does seem that you have managed to do what it was you set out to do. Even when facing the disbelief of others" Vulcans included.

"Yes we've been particularly stubborn and determined," she agreed with a shrug. It's why the Federation was so successful, while Humans were at the forefront of it all in many ways as well as home of Starfleet itself. "Want some help?" she asked indicating what T'Pol was working on.

"I appreciate the offer but I am almost finished" T'Pol said, "I would be happy to share my findings once done" she added, an offer of sorts to the other woman. One she would not have made before her time on the Enterprise.

"Of course," Kathryn said with a nod. "Only if you want too. I'm just curious. Always have been. It's gotten me into trouble before," she shrugged. "Still it has been a pleasure talking to you."
