WHO: Number Five and OPEN TO ALL
WHEN: Just after his arrival
WHERE: The Corridors
SUMMARY: Exploring
WARNINGS: Talk of death, injury, war

Five couldn't believe he was on a spaceship again. He'd had enough of spaceships in his life. His earliest memories took place upon the one that had brought them to earth after the destruction of Lorien. They'd tried to make it comfortable for them, but they were nine scared kids who were too young to really have understood the magnitude of what had just happened. He'd pretty much just stayed with his chimera, petting its calico fur. It was pretty much the only small comfort that he'd had.

Then, he'd been on the Mogadorian ship. First it had been by choice, when he'd betrayed his people. Then he'd been a prisoner. He'd finally escaped, earning himself the limp he'd have forever. Laying on his bunk, he reached down and rubbed his leg at the memory.

Now, the war with the Mogs was over. Everyone had gone their own separate ways. He'd nearly died, but managed to fly himself to an island similar to the one he'd lived on with Albert, before his cepan had died. He had scars - more than he could count - but that didn't matter. He'd never been one of the good looking ones anyway. The important thing was that he'd survived. That was always the important part.

Sitting up, he stood, stretching a little before heading out into the corridors. There was nobody waiting outside of his cabin to stop him, so he figured that they didn't mind. And if they did, well, they could tell him that themselves.

He had no idea what time of day it was. The corridors were fully lit, so that gave him no indication. He ran his hand along the strange metal that made the walls, letting his externa activate until he became the same material. He didn't know what it was, but it felt strong. Good to know.

Reaching a card access area, he held out his card, but the box turned red and denied him access. He tried again. And again. At the third failure he gave a growl of frustration, slamming his hand against the sensor in fury. No matter what they said, it seemed like he was a prisoner again. And this time, he wasn't going to stand idly by and let it happen.

After spending some time exploring with Stiles, Allison decided to make her way back to her own quarters. She ended up taking the long way around and was concerned when she spotted a guy about her age who was having some kind of temper tantrum about not being able to access a certain area of the ship.

"You okay?" she asked. "Is there something back there you need?"

"No," he frowned, his eyes on fire as he whirled around to look at her. "I don't need anything. Except to get off his damned ship. We're prisoners here, you know. It might be a nice jail, but it's still a jail. They're locking us out of places, see?"

Yeah, maybe it might seem to Allison that he was overreacting but this was reminding him way too much of his time on the Anubis.

"Well, it makes sense that they won't want a bunch of strangers traipsing all over the place," Allison said. "Especially if there's sensitive or easily breakable stuff there."

It was perfectly reasonable to her. "I mean, I've never been on a spaceship before, but I know how curious some people are and I don't want someone hitting the wrong button and blowing us up or anything." That totally seemed like something Stiles would do.

"You can rationalize it any way you want," Five said, crossing his arms. "But you can't argue with the fact that we're confined to a certain area of the ship. We aren't free to do what we want. And who knows what they're planning, off where we can't hear?"

Maybe he sounded a little paranoid, but Five felt like he had every reason to be exactly that.

"What possible reason have they given us to trust them?"

He definitely sounded paranoid and Allison wasn't sure what to think about that.

"They gave us lodging, food, and clothing. Not to mention medical care," she pointed out. "I'd say that's a start. I mean, they haven't given me a reason not to trust them yet."

Five glared at her out of his one good eye. She obviously hadn't spent her entire life being hunted or she wouldn't trust so easily. And he hated her for that. He hated that she hadn't gone through what he had.

"Whatever. Trust them if you want. I don't."

"I didn't say that I do trust them," Allison said. "But I'm also not going to assume the worst."

She had actually spent the last part of her life being a hunter though she convinced her father that their family needed a new code and to be more discerning about who and what they were hunting instead of just assuming all werewolves were the same.

"I always assume that people are bad," he said, bitterness in his voice. "It's how I'm still alive."

If you could call the state of his existence life anymore. Sometimes he felt that it would be better if he'd died in the battle with Setrakus Ra...or at least if he hadn't tried so hard to survive. Being alive wasn't something he particularly enjoyed anymore.

That didn't sound like a very fun way to live, but Allison supposed she could understand it. Especially if he was from somewhere like Beacon Hills.

"That sucks. It sounds like you've had a rough go of it. There's a lounge on Deck 5. Want to go grab a snack or something?"

Five didn't know what to make of that. People didn't ask him to hang out, especially hot girls - although he knew she didn't mean anything like that by it. Still, Five had far more enemies than friends so having someone be nice to him was freaking weird.

He stared at her for a minute, trying to figure out whether or not she was mocking him, then shrugged.

"Yeah, sure."

Allison smiled. He was a little strange and paranoid, but she figured there was no harm in being friendly. After all, they were both stuck here. "I'm Allison," she said. "From Beacon Hills, California, in 2013. Uh, which is on Earth. I guess I should specify that."

Five scowled, realizing he was going to have to introduce himself as well.

"I'm...Five. I'm from Earth, kind of. Born on another planet but it was destroyed when I was four."

Maybe she wouldn't ask any questions. But he probably wouldn't be that lucky.

This guy was definitely prickly. Allison had dealt with worse though - she knew Derek and Peter Hale, after all.

"Wow, so this whole space thing isn't new to you," she said. "Where I'm from, the idea of life on other planets is hotly debated. I always figured that with as vast as the universe is, there had to be more than just us out there though."

She turned around so they could head towards the lounge.

"Yeah, I guess I'm an example of extraterrestrial life."

And what an example he was.

"Don't like being on a ship though. Had some bad experiences."

Bad experiences explained his paranoia. "That sucks," she said. "No wonder you're suspicious of this place." Allison supposed she couldn't blame him for being suspect if he'd had bad experiences on spaceships before.

Five shrugged. He thought the whole world was after him, because they kind of were. Always had been. Even more so since he'd betrayed he Loric and had earned the hatred of his own people as well.

"But there's no way off, is there?"

"Well, I think I read somewhere that we can leave the ship when it stops places, but there's no way for them to get us back to our own worlds," Allison said. So it wasn't entirely a prison, since they did have the freedom to leave, but they couldn't get where they belonged. Which, in her case, wasn't such a bad thing.
