Dreams that Never Leave Him (Han, Tony, open)
WHO: Han, Tony, anyone else who wants to sense his emotions or feel through the Force or whatever
WHEN: 226405.20 backdated, sometime during the night
WHERE: Quarters
SUMMARY: Vader and the recent incident of being trapped are getting to Han
WARNINGS: Could get PG if a few swears pop up.
Han lay restlessly, asleep but with a mind that was still in overdrive. He hadn't run into Vader face to face...face to mask? personally yet, but he knew the Dark Lord was on the ship somewhere. Normally, he didn't let his past come back to him too much-he'd put the past behind him as much as he could, and the dreams had gotten fewer and further between over the years. However, having the person responsible for it all here on the ship had gotten him very worried. Anakin said he didn't want to hurt anyone, but it certainly wasn't easy to tell whether or not he was being truthful.
On top of that, there'd been the three days Han had spent trapped in the lift, fighting off claustrophobia. He had been glad to have space to move around at least, but still, the small space hadn't exactly been the easiest to deal with. The combination had made the nightmares come back to Han after he'd fallen asleep tonight.
The ear-splitting sound and the agonizing pain, his entire body spasming, caught in the metal device's unyielding grasp. Searing heat, making his very core feel as though it were on fire. Vader's raspy, mechanical breath in his ear, and the others watching, even laughing at his predicament at times. He feared they'd made Leia watch, and he worried for what might happen to her.
Then, darkness and nothingness, surrounding and immobilizing him. They thought he was unconscious, but he could still hear. It sounded like his family being attacked. Vader...He cried out, desperately trying to move, helpless to do anything....
Han was thrashing and crying out, tangling the covers on the bed and only feeling more trapped because of it. He didn't know anything as he rolled from the bed and landed on the ground with a solid thump. The jolt brought him back to wakefulness and he lay there for a moment, his body sweat-drenched, still breathing hard. He hated to show weakness, and he just knew way too many people had probably heard this whole thing. he sighed as untangled himself and hauled himself back up to into the bed, laying there, still trying to ensure himself it was just a dream. He wished Leia was there, *his* Leia, comforting him as she'd done a few times early on when she'd caught onto a dream despite his trying to hide it.
"Kriff..." he muttered with another sigh.
