WHO: Darth Imperius and Open
WHEN: 226405.12
WHERE: Observation Lounge
SUMMARY: Sith Happens
WARNINGS: TBD

Lomea preferred the quiet. Space was silent, an endless black sea filled with untold riches and unfathomable horrors. She wondered what secrets lay hidden, waiting for her to discover, or what new abilities and powers she could learn to control. For the first time since she'd come on board, she felt ... restless. There were no armies to command, no fleet to control, no subjects to latch onto her every word. It made her bored. So while she preferred the quiet, boredom did not sit well with Darth Imperius.

She watched the stars pass, and sipped from a glass as she stood in front of the window as though waiting for the galaxy to bow before her.

Vader had been walking through the ship almost aimlessly, having no purpose was something new to the man, and something he didn't like very much at all. It was hard to fathom, to understand, something he hadn't felt since he was a boy on Tatooine. As he'd walked though, he'd felt a presence in the Force. An unfamiliar one, but one that found balance in the light, but was shrouded in the darkness. He assumed it was Lomea, Darth Imperius, the woman who claimed to be a master of both sides of the Force.

He knew he should choose to stay away, even getting near any touch of the Dark Side again was liable to draw him deep into the shadows, but the woman brought curiosity. She would have great power, great understanding of the Sith, of the Jedi, in a time long before Anakin, and Palpatine, and Obi Wan came into the fold.

Slipping into the observation lounge, he let the door slide shut behind him, standing rather solemnly in the darkness as he breathed, watching the woman, the audible, haunting breaths of his mask filling the air.

He recognized the look, it's how he felt.

"A stark contrast to the Universe we come from, isn't it? I don't know the last time silence and thought were allowed over planning and war."

"Certainly not in my time," Lomea commented. She'd sensed his approach, but had waited for him to speak. Vader wasn't the first Sith she'd encountered who spoke through a mask. But Vader held more power than Darth Malgus could have dreamed of. He was someone to be careful around.

"The peace is almost welcome. Though I am at a loss as to what to do."

"The silence in peace is deafening," Vader added, coming to stand near the other Sith, his cape flowing behind him as he stood towards the window and gazed out at it, "The starscape is different."

He frowned, "The star maps suggest... a different galaxy. I wonder if all galaxies suffer from the same constant threat of war that ours do."

He then turned his head towards her, "Beings like us, are hardly useful in these scenarios. Weapons pointed at nothing are not weapons."

There wasn't a breeze, and yet Vader's cloak billowed. It was dramatic and Lomea appreciated that on a deep, fundamental level.

"There is no frame of reference to determine exactly how far away we have come," Lomea agreed. No familiar stars or spacial phenomenon. "With time, and the will of the Force, we might find it."

But was it at all important? "So we are merely weapons? There is none to wield us here. Do you fear lacking purpose?"
