WHO: Romanoff and Coulson
WHEN: 226407.04
WHERE: Deck 5
SUMMARY: Drinks and catching up
WARNINGS: Nah

Natasha should have been shaken up when she saw Coulson on the net. But she wasn't. In her lifetime she had seen a lot of things. She, herself was one of those impossible theories. Yet here she was. After they both had agreed to met up at Deck 5, Nat would occupy an empty booth. Her red hair would be tied back into a braid as she wore some of the attire the ship had offered her as casual clothing. She was nervous in a sense. Why? Aside from Fury, Nat had always viewed Coulson like an uncle. And if Natasha thought of you as a family member, it wasn't something to take lightly.

Tonight she would keep it simple. That clear liquid would be within her glass. That bottle of vodka rested to her side. An empty shot glass across from her. Her/ She would be on her second shot. But she wouldn't take it completely, she would savor it. Sip it. She was nervous. Stop being so nervous is all she told herself, as she came to finally take the rest of that hard drink down her throat as she waited for Coulson to show up. So far from what she could gather, he was a little ahead of her timeline. Which gave her comfort.

She wasn't alone in knowing what had happened in the future first hand.

Although he was eager to explore the ship, Phil's first priority was always to his team. And even though it'd been years since he'd been on a team with Natasha, she was still his team, his family. He made his way too the lounge and spotted her instantly, making his way over to her booth. Sliding in, he gave her a smile and motioned for her to pour him a glass of vodka. After all, when in Rome...

"Come here often?" he quipped.

Phil's sense of humor was always welcomed. Aside from Clint, it was Phil that always made her feel needed. Already she would come to pour him a glass as she slipped it towards him. Her own glass repoured for the third time.

"Good to see your sense of humor hasn't changed." She replied with her own smile of her own as she watched him. Already she held up her glass to him. "To family." She stated as she touched his glass with hers and took her shot.

"To family." He gave her a warm smile as they clinked glasses and savored the burn of the vodka going down his throat. He hadn't been sure how the Avengers would react - particulary Clint & Natasha, whom he'd worked with before the Avengers initiative had ever been a possibility.

"Someone's got to provide commentary." Not to mention, humor helped him cope with everything. There was a pause and he motioned for Natasha to refill his glass again.

"I'm sorry. I didn't want to keep it from you. Fury had his reasons, but that's no excuse. I feel like I should have broken protocol and told you and Clint."

"You don't need to apologize to me, or Clint. If Fury wanted to keep it a secret it's most likely for a reason." She replied with a smirk along her lips s she came to pour him another drink. Doing the same with her own glass.

"It has been kind of lonely lately. So I'm glad you're here and you're from a future ahead of mine. Least we're somewhat on the same level." She added as she took another sip of her drink. "Just not sure if I'm a fan of being in space." She said with a slightly smirk.

"Clint would love it." She said with a nod as she sipped her drink once more.

"Maybe, but I needed to say it." Because Natasha was family. And familty came before the mission.

"Well, having you around definitely makes this place more tolerable. I'll have to introduce you to Daisy and Jemma too. Try not to scare them too much?" he asked, a grin on his face because he loved watching Natasha put the fear of God into new recruits.

"He would. he'd be like a kid in a candy store."

The fact that he felt he needed to give Nat an explanation meant a lot to her. It showed that Phil had cared about how she felt. Still, she held a smile on her features. Despite feeling alone, least now she wouldn't be so alone.

"Betty is here, the one that Bruce knows. "She stated lightly as she downed that shot in her glass. "They seem happy together now." She added. Already she would motion to whoever was manning the bar to bring her another bottle. Since she could already tell she was going to need more than one tonight.

Phil raised an eyebrow at the admission. He knew Natasha didn't let people in easily. The fact that she felt the need to mention Bruce probably meant something.

"How are you doing with that?"

Phil understood how Natasha was. Which was why she had mentioned it to him. "I want him happy." Is all she would say as she would pour them another drink to enjoy. She missed Clint, and in a way, she missed back home. At least back home, she wasn't alone with her thoughts.

"I don't like being alone with my thoughts." She stated lightly as she came to brush her red hair from her face. "Especially when my memories come in pieces."
