James Potter. Sirius stared incredulously at the giant Enterprise blueprints tacked up to the wall of his bedroom, where he now spotted a very familiar name that had not shown up previously. If James was really here, he'd gotten that part of the map going. (Just not the part that didn't require a map so big it had to go on the wall.)

He checked the PADD.

No mention of James yet.

There was only one way to find out, and Sirius grabbed his wand, the PADD, and sprinted out of his room toward the medical bay. He ought to let Remus or Lily or even Peter know, but he still wasn't entirely confident that the map would be right. And it wasn't until he was right outside the med bay that he realized it was. "Prongs!" he said, slightly out of breath but grinning ear to ear. That was definitely his best friend standing right there in front of him.

"No,honestly I am perfectly fine. I just need to get out and find my wife. She's about to pop any minute." It'd been a few minutes that he was arguing with the poor med bay staff, but really it was mad enough that he was still here when he was feeling perfectly fine. All they were trying to get him to do was pee in a cup before he left. Why was it that healers always wanted you to pee in something?

Fortunately a familiar voice immediately drew James's attention from the poor nurse. With an easy grin,he turned to his best mate and stepped towards him. "Padfoot, it's about damn time you got here. I've been here for twenty minutes already.I figured you would've found me sooner than that." He offered his hand to Sirius and pulled him into a hug.

Sirius hugged his mate, happy to see he was alive, and seemingly well. "How'd you know I was here?" he asked, curiously. "I only knew you were here because I've been mapping the ship like we did Hogwarts..."

He looked at James, slightly confused but mostly happy. "Now we're all here though, even if Remus is going to be older than you remember him."

"I assumed you would be?" They had explained a wormhole sort of situation, but he assumed that the rest of them had all gotten sucked in the same time he had. They'd all been over at his house at the time, though he'd been in the loo when he'd been grabbed up.

"Wait... what do you mean by older?" It was James's turn to look confused at the man. "Did something happen to him getting here?" Because if something had then he wondered if Lily was safe as well. "Also where's Lily? She's being careful, right?

"Oh. Uh. Well, you're actually the last to arrive? Wormtail was first, then I got here and Moony... then Lily. I've been here over two months, mate. And we can come in from all different times. Like... Peter and I were pulled from a very similar point. And uh, Remus is far in the future. Lily's a couple years after me and Peter?"

He stopped himself. "I'm 19. How old are you?"

"So... you're telling me that we didn't all just get here." Well he guessed it made sense why he was the only one that the nurses were fussing over. But the idea that they all came from different times was strange. The idea that any of them could be any younger or older than they should just didn't quite sit well with him.

"19? I'm 20. So you're saying you don't remember the last year then? Do you remember Lils being pregnant? Is she still pregnant?" There was a hint of panic to his voice at the last question. Was his wife alright? Was his son??

"Lily isn't pregnant, because Harry's already been born from the point in time she's from," Sirius explained. That was all he was going to tell James there. The rest was up to Lily.

"And she wasn't pregnant when I ended up here so I don't remember any of it. But Remus is somewhere in his thirties so he'll remember it?"

He grinned, anticipating how James would react to that bit of news.

There was a slight twitch to his left eye at that little tidbit of information. His beautifully rounded wife was no longer pregnant and his son was born. He missed his son being born? James ran a hand through his hair to ruffle it as was his nervous tendency.

"That so... Well hell, we always joked I'd miss it somehow. I just thought it'd be because of moldy volde rather than a wormhole." He shook his head and glanced back up to Sirius. "Guess you should know you're the godfather if you don't remember. Congratulations."

Sirius grinned. "Of course I'm the godfather." He took a deep breath, knowing what came next, but saying nothing. "Lily was in her room when I saw your name appear on my map... Yes, I'm mapping the spaceship we're on now but I cheated and got the blueprints printed out for me. So let's head that way? She's bound to get an announcement any minute now and if I don't bring you immediately to her?"

He didn't want to face the wrath of Lily Potter.

"Yeah? I'm a bit put out that you started without me Padfoot. How can it be a new marauders map without all of the marauders." But he was eager to find his wife. He gave a small wave to the poor put upon nurse. It seemed she wasn't going to get her urine sample tonight. James was far too eager to find his wife and to really see if she was no longer pregnant and if their son was with her at least. He wanted desperately to meet Harry.

"She'd hex you into next week and then some. She's the scariest woman when she wants to be, part of why I love her." He gave that soft sort of smile that just showed how smitten with her he was still and always would be."There anyone else here from back home?"

"Yeah, well I'm a bit put out that it's taken you over two months to catch up with me and get here, Prongs," Sirius said, laughing. "Your room won't be too far from hers, and since you two are married, you can get reassigned to a room with her," he mentioned. "They don't do that automatically."

Nodding, he chose his response carefully. "Yeah, one of Molly and Arthur's kids is here. Ginny Weasley. From well in the future. She's brilliant and working on replicating brooms."

He was leading James toward Lily's room as he spoke, and he said excitedly, "We got to dock at this space station. It was mental. All this Muggle technology that rivals what we can do."

"You know me and being fashionably late." He chuckled sa well. "Wait,so I need to ask for a room with my wife? What sort of madhouse is this?" He poured on the dramatics before grasping at his heart. "Am I stuck sharing with anyone so far?" They'd given a room number, be he admittedly wasn't paying as much attention as he should have been. He'd been too worried about his wife and mates.

"Oh, they finally had a girl? Good on them. I know they were hoping that their latest was going to be a girl, only to get another bouncing baby boy. I can't wait to have a good broom."

James followed, trusting Sirius to guide him to Lily. He kept his eyes open. This place was fascinating. "Really? Is it that good? I know their automobiles are brilliant, but this is beyond anything I've seen so far."

"I've no idea, what room are you in? You should be able to check the PADD... And yeah, the technology is amazing. We can write back and forth to each other, fly through space... there's this holodeck that can simulate different places or games. And the bar has free drinks. And there's not a war going on."

As far as Sirius was concerned, that was the best part.

"I'm in D-36 I think." At least that sounded right. It was in the PADD thing, but he was admittedly a bit unsure how to use it yet. "Yeah? Looks like I'd better figure this thing out. It can't be any harder than that mad motorbike you drive, er drove?"

The mention of free drinks was always a good thing. He didn't drink often, but it was always nice to do so with his mates. They needed a good day together to catch up apparently. "Aww, but Sirius the deatheaters are going to get lonely without your shining face to hex them." It was easy to joke, and how James often coped with the fear of losing anyone he loved in the war that seemed never ending.

"Oh, you're in a room with Peter then," Sirius said. "For now at least. And with two other roommates."

He knew where Peter was staying from having tracked him down, but his newly working map had told him Peter had two roommates. "And Lily is in D-34, which is where we're at... now."

Sirius grinned and then knocked on the door.

Lily knew her husband was here, she just didn't know where HERE was. Probably with Sirius. She knew they had a bond.

And when there was a knock at the door, she grinned. She swung it open and smiled wide. "Sirius! You brought me a present!"

James grinned. At least he had one of his mates in the same room.Really,he was surprised that the marauders weren't all sharing a room. They'd done it for years that it just made sense. Maybe it was something to do with layout of the ship. "Better Wormtail than strangers for sure."

But then they were standing before Lily's room and he was practically pining to have her with him once more. While Sirius and he had a special bond, Lily was his soulmate. When she opened the door, James smiled widely. "Surprise!" But then he looked over his wife and the fact that she wasn't pregnant really hit home. "Miss me?" He said, trying to clear his throat and the urge to panic.

"Will do, Sirius!" She waved and then grabbed James by his shirt and pulled him into the room. She gave him a deep kiss and then released him. "I've been wanting to do that for weeks now."

She noticed the throat clear. "What's wrong?"

James slapped Sirius on the back before disappearing. "Be ready to cause some hell after I reacquaint myself with my wife." He waggled his eyebrows and grinned as his best mate disappeared.

And then he being kissed and the world was a beautiful place. James let out a happy hum and slid his hands to her sides. But the small frown appeared. "Huh? Oh. It's nothing. I'm just... I'm not used to seeing you like this right now." He looked over her shoulder and towards the room. "Is Harry with you? I'd like to meet him finally."

The thought of their son not being here was a hard one to wrap his mind around. "Yeah, like two weeks probably. You were about ready to pop when I got dragged here. There were bets on when Harry was finally coming." But the thought that their son was alright and healthy was good enough for him.

"Yeah? Think he'll say mum or da first?" He smoothed his hands over her hips. "I'd say I missed you but I literally went to the loo back home and landed here."

Hearing Lily laugh and knowing that she was safe was all that mattered to James. It always was. He'd do anything for his family and friends, and Lily was always top of that list.

"Yeah? He's daddy's boy? Our little Prongslet." He grinned widely, wishing he could meet his son, but he'd have to wait until they figured out how to send them back he guessed.

"So how long have you been here? Sirius mentioned being here a month."

"You've been here a month and a half without either of us?" That must have been hard. James felt terrible for leaving his poor wife alone that long, no matter that it wasn't his fault.

"Well I'm here now and I have no intention of leaving you alone again Lils. You're stuck with me." He grinned pulled her close to steal another kiss. "So, I guess you'll have to show me around since you've been here a month."

"No no, I have it confused. We've been here about two months. This stardate stuff is confusing. And I think he was here before me, now that I think of it..." She felt completely befuddled around James and it showed.

She let him kiss her and grinned, "Yes, let me show you around. You're in for a treat, it's amazing around here." Lily took his hand and guided them out of the room.

James nodded. It was still strange to even imagine them here for anything more than the five minutes it's been since he'd seen them. All this was strange, but it was easier to just accept it for now and figure it out later when he had a chance to think it all through.

"Yeah? Well anything's a treat as long as it's with you Lils." He winked at her and squeezed her hand. "Lead the way."
