Who: Natasha and Loki
When: 226404.23
Where: Ships halls
What: Natasha had one of her many nightmares
Rating/Warnings: Low/None
Status: Closed/On-Going

It happened again. Natasha found herself passing out in her room, and like clockwork, her dreams would go from decent to nightmarish. As she came to wake in a cold sweat, she slowly sat up. Her hand coming through damp red hair. This one was a bad one. With bits and pieces coming through. She came to shake her head. She glanced around for the moment. She made sure not to wake Peggy up. It was the last thing she wanted to do. Especially since Peggy did a lot already, she was certain that sleep is what the woman needed most. Bare feet came to touch the floor as she came to exit her room. Red hair was a mess, as she ran her fingers through it. Trying to fix it the best she could.

Small shorts and a tank top are all she wore. As usual. Her heart still raced as she came to stumble slightly. She felt drugged a little. Dreams like those always had her feeling a certain way. Already she knew where she wanted to go. That observation deck. It had become her go-to place when she had nightmares. Or in general for that matter. She thought, or rather had hoped that once she started telling the truth her nightmares would end.

Instead, it seemed to bring them on more frequently. Something she hadn't expected to happen. But she couldn't go to the guys, They each had their own problems to deal with. The last thing she wanted was to come off as desperate. When she wasn't.

Natasha was just, lonely.

Loki was quickly learning that he required less sleep than most mortals. This place was silent during sleep cycles, as a rule - there were a few active minds buzzing about, of course, but overall the entire ship seemed to settle into a stale sort of quiet that made Loki restless. He had little to exert his energy on in this place, and thus he was already wound tighter than perhaps necessary - but the silence and the lack of activity made it even more pronounced.

Thus, most evenings found him prowling the halls. Tonight his gait was agitated, almost agressive - he had spent far too long lost in his own thoughts, yet he had nowhere else to be lost. He had been tempted to seek out Elsa, but she likely needed ordinary amounts of sleep - and as fantastic as her powers were, and as much as he would like to use helping her hone them as a distraction from his frustration at the dead ends he kept hitting in his attempts to find a way home, it was likely best that he not disturb her.

The figure in the hall ahead of him was familiar, and set Loki's stance from agitated to guarded immediately. Natasha. She was not among his favorite people on board this ship; their previous encounter had not exactly gone swimmingly. Anyone who wished to manipulate him was an enemy, no matter their motivations - anyone who preyed upon his weakness, his lack of knowledge about what led him to a future as a villain bent on destroying a harmless world - anyone like that was not someone Loki intended to trust with a single breath.

As he neared her, he offered merely a steely-faced nod of greeting - he was not going to be completely rude, after all - but said nothing, content to simply continue walking.

Natasha had come to take notice of Loki walking past her. It seems he was still annoyed with their conversation from a few weeks ago. Still, she forced herself to focus on him for the moment. "Loki.." She called out as she brushed her red hair from her face as she came to exhale for the moment. "I wanted to say sorry for the other night." She said lightly as she came to lean against the wall for the moment.

She wasn't sure if he would believe her or not. But nat was trying, to be honest after all. And that meant being honest with people she knew. Whether they knew her or not wasn't the point. All she did know, was that Loki was suspicious of her and that's not hat she wanted. Second chances. For her, it was more like a millionth chance all over again. The difference was her mind wasn't being wiped clean and reprogrammed this time.
