Peter was just leaving the labs for the evening and decided to check out the observation deck after a long day. It always relaxed him to look out the large windows into space and watch the stars zipping by and the blackness. He didn't know why, but its vastness wasn't lonely, but instead mesmerizing for Peter Parker. So, the nerdy hero made his way through the long corridors, dressed in long sleeve black shirt, and a pair of trousers that helped keep himself warm in the coldness of space.

As he walked, he checked out his tablet to make sure he hadn't missed anything, and eventually made his way through the door and into the observation area, setting the tablet down and moving to grab both a drink, and then a seat that overlooked the starfield they were currently occupying. Again, it was beautiful, and the New Yorker took his seat and smiled as he looked it all over.

He couldn't find his headphones at the moment, so instead he just kicked his feet up and took a sip of his vodka and soda, and enjoyed the view before him, getting lost in it really.

This was not her world, but that didn't phase Dani. When someone had walked through the slivers for as long as she had, it wasn't that strange. The reasoning behind it was the odd part. She still wasn't sure if she'd just stepped through a UFP, Unidentified Farie Portal. Those invisible portals were plentiful back home.

Dani had decided to do what she always did, play nice until someone went after her, keep her wits about her, and try to find a way out in case she needed it. It was what she'd been trying to do all day. Dani had gone exploring in hopes of finding a shimmer of a rip in time and space. So far there'd been nothing. Her stomach was growling and so Dani decided to try to find her way back to the mess hall.

Walking through another door, she caught sight of someone. There was a man sitting there seeming to be relaxing. Dani offered a small hint of a smile. "Sorra. Didna realize there were anyone in here." She said, her Irish brough naturally thick.

Peter looked up at the sound of the door opening and saw the new girl standing there, blinking as he didn't recognize her but quickly stood up and shook his head, "No, no no. This is a public space, very nice. You can have be here as much as I can, and happy to have you in fact. Welcome."

He moved towards her, "You must be new, I don't... uh... recognize you, really. I'm Peter Parker, pleasure to meet you," He held his hand out towards her, then gestured towards the room, "You're welcome to join me. I just got done in the labs and ... well.. I was just kind of enjoying the view is all. Relaxing a bit."

He smiled, keeping it bright and genuine.

Dani watched as the man stood up and walked towards her. He didn't seem like a threat so she relaxed a little. "Aye,I just got here t'day." She held her hand out. But she paused for a moment when she heard his na,e

"Peter Parker? Like spiderman?" She asked, her smile already turning a little more earnest. A fellow comic fan was always a welcome sight. It also suggested that there were others from her world, or at least some alternate world just like her's.

"Thank ye. I've been explorin this place and ended up here on tha way ta get some food. It's bonnie though." She mentioned to the view. "I've always loved being able ta see tha stars."

Peter laughed and nodded, "Yea, like Spider-Man, the one and only. But don't go around telling everyone, they already know, but having a fanbase of one would be entirely way too embarrassing."

Peter chuckled and then gestured back towards the corridor, "And if food's what you're after, let's go hunting. There's a lounge on a different floor, large windows, but great food as well."

The accent was a bit to get used to, but context clues and friends helped him with that one.

Alright, anyone named after a superhero couldn't be bad in her book. Dani had always had an appreciation of super heroes and often wanted to be considered one herself with her ability to slip into the stream. And while she knew DC characters a little better, everyone knew Spiderman and how he was just a normal guy like herself. "Sure, I willna tell annaone."

Grinning, she followed after him, grateful for someone to guide her for a bit. "Good, I'm starvin." She was going to have to find a way to get some protein bars or something to carry around with her sooner or later.

"So how long ye been here? Or are ye from around here Peter?" She understood that people were showing up from other worlds, like she had. It was strange, but still no stranger than her life if Dani were honest.

"Good, because while everyone here knows, I'd like to pretend I'm still doing a good job keeping up appearances," Peter offered with a chuckle, and let her fall into step with him. He moved for one of the lifts, and waited for it to open before looking back towards her.

"I've been here a few months now. I'm from New York, obviously, my stomping grounds. Where are you from? I'm thinking... Ireland? Scotland? I get the accents confused sometimes, sorry."

As the lift opened, he let her in and waited for it to shut before pushing on the next floor, and looking back towards her, "Enjoying the Enterprise so far?"

Dani smiled at his comment. She liked Peter so far, he kind of reminded her of Dancer. The thought hurt her heart a little as the memory of her first love tried to distract her. But now was not the time as she instead focused on the young man she was with.

"Scotland? Really?" She playfully scowled at him. "I am from Ireland, Dublin ta be exact. Born and raised there. It's been me home fer most o' me life." The parts that hadn't been in Dublin though had been in the Slivers and were hard a bit hard to explain. "Always wanted ta go to New York."

Following after him, Dani tried to put the path to memory. "Aye, it's nice. Hard ta really believe we're in space and everathin. What about you? Still likin it after a few months?"

"Well they're similar", He offered, laughing, "Scotland's not that bad. And New York's great, I mean besides all of the super villains. Man there's a surprising amount of Supervillains with how many heroes there are, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. The smells, the yelling, the middle fingers, they're all amazing."

He grinned, "I've been to space a couple of times, I'm more stoked to be on the Enterprise itself. It's just insane and amazing... and yea, I like it. The science is a blast to play around with. Even if Peggy and the others won't let me play with the potentially catastrophic stuff, it's still pretty fun."

Glancing to her as the door opened, and stepping forward he smirked, "Food's pretty good too. Not too surprising, they do have to feed people for a five year mission, after all."

"Aye, they are. But anna Irishman worth their salt would na want ta be mistaken fer a Scot, and vice versa." She chuckled and nodded. "We have out own collection of villans back home." The fae were always a problem, both seelie and unseelie. "New York does sound fun though."

He'd been to space before? Was he an astronaut? The idea of that was kind of amazing. Sure, she'd been to dozens of worlds through the slivers, but she'd learn to appreciate the creativity and brilliance of humanity. Only they could figure out how to go to space and survive it. "So yer a scientist? Ye do physics?" She said, thinking back to Dancer for only a moment before shoving those memories to the back of her mind.

"Food's food. So long as it does not still moo at me or look and smell like it died in tha worst way possible I'll eat it. I have a wee bit o' a problem with me metabolism." Like the fact that she went through calories like crazy thanks to her unique Sidthe seer gifts.

"I'll make sure to work on that then," Peter offered in response to not getting Scots and Irishman confused. He then shrugged, "New York's definitely fun, maybe if we ever get a chance I'll show you sometime."

When asked about the science he shrugged, "I can do a bit of everything, but yea I help a lot with engineering, physics, and biology here. I have quite a lot of experience back home with that stuff, it's how I built my suit, my web-shooters, and of course chemistry for the web fluid itself."

He scoffed, "Food is not just food, the pizza here is absolute garbage after all, I rather like the burgers here they're surprisingly good despite not knowing where they get the fresh beef from way out here. Who knows..."

He shrugged, then looked back towards her, "What's your problem with metabolism?" Moving into the lounge area, noting the food and drinks being served, the place filled with staffers here or there, and another large observation deck with plenty of booths to sit at and stare out into space.

Dani smiled at his answer and winked at him. "Aye, best ye do. I've seen manna a man punched fer gettin it mixed up at the wrong man." But the offer of New York was beyond appealing. "I'd like that. I've always wanted ta go. Back home it's a wee bit hard ta travel now unless it's through some unconventional means."

Brains were actually pretty sexy. Dani had always appreciated a man with a strong mind. Brains were always more useful than brawn. She was lucky to have both. "I'd love ta see some o' yer work. Wait, you actually made web shooters? What's tha compound you use fer tha web?"

Dani laughed and shook her head. 'I really stopped carin about taste a long time ago. But as fer me metabolism, I go through more calories than two or three full grown men.I go through even more if I jump inta the slipstream." Already Dani could smell the food and her stomach growled loudly. She looked a bit sheepish as she smiled at him.

"Unconventional means? What's wrong with home... from where you're from? At least what makes it hard to travel?" Peter offered, curious about her life back on earth. He turned up his brow, watching her when she began to talk about his work and then the webshooters, lifting up his arm to show off the web-shooter on his wrist.

"Well you can't be Spider-Man without web-shooters. Trust me, I've tried, it's really not fun. And I don't share that information, that's top secret, can't let it get into the wrong hands after all."

Peter laughed and moved with her into the room as her stomach growled, "Well then it's time we get you something to eat, and what's the slipstream? Part of that travel thing you were talking about I assume? Also, about my work, if you want to see it you can come by anytime. It's nothing too special here, I'm mostly checking and double-checking the stuff they already have here, but I hope to get a chance to play with it someday."

It was still a bit strange to think that people here had no idea what was going on with the earth back home, but Peter's question reminded her of it. "Back home? Well the walls between the world of the fae and tha mortal realms has fallen, leaving us with all these fecking fae and a bunch of portals between our world and others." She ufp's were a large reason people did not travel. It was so very hard to see them and then you walk through and accidentally end up in a whole other planet.

But her home was hardly interesting when compared to the web shooter. It looked like this guy was super into playing up his name. "och, I'd love ta see ya use it sometime." She'd like to 'borrow it' sometime too, but she didn't want to make an ememy of the rather attractive and kind man.

"Tha slipstream is what sorta a state I can access." It was hard to explain. "here, stay here and I'll show you." She winked at him as she turned to look at the room before she suddenly disappeared from sight, moving at speeds that the human eye could not see. It was only a few seconds later that she was standing in front of him with two plates full of burgers and her stomach growling even louder. "Ye said ye wanted burgers aye?"

"Fae? Isn't that like... a fairy or something? Some magical creature? Don't think I know any faes back home, I do know a few aliens, and people that are kind of like elves and faes... I think. Whatever, uh well that sucks, sorry about that whole travel thing. Hope it's getting better though," Peter offered, moving around with her.

Peter laughed, "Well we can definitely do that if you'd like. I could swing around the holodeck or what have you. I haven't used them since being here, haven't needed too, travel's much easier here than New York. And I haven't had any supervillains to go up against. So, there is that."

That's about the time she took off flying through the room, Peter losing her the moment she did, and blinked when she suddenly reappeared, looking down at her with a few more blinks, "I uh.... that's a lot of burgers. Also, damn, you move about as fast as Quicksilver. That's crazy."

"Aye, but not tha way yer thinkin of them probably. The fae are much more our size and pretty damn the evilist thing in tha world. They could drive ye mad and fuck ye ta death." She'd seen people been turned into gibbering messes called Priya But the idea of an earth out there where the walls never fell was bolstering. There was an earth that still turned like it always had. "Not that much, but we're finding ways around it.'

Dani kind of wondered if he used the spiderman reference as a pickup line since he was playing it up so much. "That'd be pretty fun. I've always wanted ta swing like spiderman." She winked at him.

Dani hadn't even broken a sweat as she stopped in front of him once more. "Whatever you dinna eat, I will. Like I said, me metabolism is a wee bit odd. And that's why. Everything moves faster and burns calories like crazy. If I dinna get enough, I slow down and I dinna like that." She motioned for him to find a seat for them both. "Back home, we call it movin in tha slipstream. "

Peter blinked, "Fuck... you to death? I'm going to hope that's a loss in translation, otherwise that's... well that's a rather terrifying thought that people on 4chan would probably be super into," He shuttered, then grabbed a burger from her plate, and he led them both towards a lounger that sat in front of one of the large windows that showed off the vastness of space and shadow.

Dropping into a seat, he waited for her to sit, before taking a bite of his burger and then looking towards her, raising a brow, "I burn through calories at an alarming rate too, but that's the super metabolism and what not." He watched her a moment, "Superheroes tend to have to eat a lot more than normal, actually, for that reason. Something they leave out in the reporting of them."

He grinned at the wink, "Well, if we find some place to be able to pull it off, I'll take you around."

"Nope, that's exactly how it sounds. Bound ta be fun at first, but ye lose yerself and yer mind in the process... or ye just canna handle it and die straight out." But the mention of 4chan earned a confused look and a shrug.

Dani was quick to follow after Peter and slide in beside him. The view was gorgeous and immediately drew her eye as she grabbed one of the burgers and started to eat. She forced herself to slow down, not wanting to gross him out even as her stomach growled again.

"I guess yer right." Dani smiled at the comparison to being a super hero. When she was younger, that's constantly what she wanted to be seen as, the hero of Dublin, clearing the streets of all the fae and making it safe again. "Give me a day and I'll find us a place to swing." Because if he actually had made something like the spiderman comics then she just had to see it.

"So, other than science what else do you do for fun around here?"

"Sounds exhausting, and yea, probably a bit fun, but they're probably terrifying looking, so maybe not?" Peter laughed, shrugging as he ate at his burger. Grinning when she slid in next to her, he took the time while she ate to actually look at the girl. She was very pretty, attractive, reminded him a lot of Gwen except with the red hair. Which, of course, reminded him a bit of MJ. That was super inappropriate and rude of him though, and he needed to wipe that from his mind.

She was different than both of them though, and he found her rather fun, and amusing, "I know a place, the holodeck, we can turn it into a city if we want. Would you like to go swinging?"

He blinked, "Well I uh... stare out the windows like this one, and I talk on the network, and generally do nothing but science. Oh god."

"Actually, they're tha damn prettiest thing you'll ever see... well at least the seelie are. Some are so beautiful yer eyes'll bleed." And so far, she wasn't missing that after coming here for sure. Nor was she missing the shortages of food. Peter was right and the burgers were really delicious. One burger was already gone as she started to eat the second.

"I think you'll make my day if ye take me ta go swinging." she winked. "And if you ever want, I can take ye slipstreaming. It's damn fun but might make ye a wee bit motion sick."

Dani laughed and nudged him playfully. "So yer just a giant nerd? Ain't nothin bad with that, though it just means ye might need someone ta drag you out and inta the world. I do need someone ta make sure I don't destroy this place while explorin it if yer up fer tha job." Because he was fun and handsome. It reminded her of Dancer, but she shoved that particular thought deep down and locked it away.

"I on't know if I can get motion sick," Peter offered, thinking, "I haven't in a long time after all," the powers he possessed sort of helped him keep track of that, though he'd be curious. He'd gone super speed before, with Quicksilver, so he wasn't sure.

He laughed at her wink, "Uh... if beauty makes my eyes bleed, that's not beauty, that's scientifically terrifying. And I'm not a giant nerd, I'm just ... you know, sciencey. Though yea, I mean, we're stuck on a giant space boat, so I should definitely probably follow you around and make sure you behave. You seem definitely like a trouble maker."

He grinned shrugging and nudging her back.

"Well, if yer eager ta find out, I can take ye all around ta figure it out." Plus she'd gotten a lot better over the years, so she hadn't crashed into anything for quite some time. And her body was grateful for it. No more bruising was always a good thing.

"It's supposed ta be magic, but magic does have a root in science fer sure." Though she never really figured out how the bleeding eye thing worked, but there were some things that never made sense in her world no matter how hard she tried to figure it out. "There's nothin wrong with bein one. It's a good quality if ye ask me. Tha nerds shall inherit the earth. I've seen it." And it was true. The smart ones survived, as did the strong. If you were both, like her, you were golden.

"Aye,I might be but I promise ye'll have fun gettin in trouble." Dani giggled as he nudged her back. Yeah,this might just be an alright place after all.
