Loki | MCU ([info]subtletrick) wrote in [info]toboldlyrpg,
When Elsa lifted her eyes to his, Loki's smile widened, warmer perhaps than it had been. She was trying to pull herself into the role that fit her as well as his fit him - neither of them were prepared for this. She was like he was, in some ways - perhaps in more ways than were already obvious.

There were a lot of things he wished to understand about her world. She knew of Asgard, knew them as gods, as more than simply other. There were magical beings in her world, but yet no other people, as such - she possessed magic in a world that was predominantly mundane - and powerful magic at that, if he was sensing it correctly...

He imagined she could be very dangerous if she wished to be - and very useful, too. Perhaps that was not the best thought to be having - the idea of people as tools was perhaps not the kindest sentiment, perhaps he should have thought less strategically, but then again he was a king now and wasn't that the entire point of being a king? To move the pieces where they were best used? It didn't directly imply unkindness, it simply meant that there were priorities at hand that were different from what another person might have.

She would be a very important ally, he decided. He would help her, teach her, and ensure that she had no reason to ever turn against him.

Magic was not an isolated thing. If the world existed with magic within it, which it clearly did, then she could not be the first, or the only one - and if she was, that only meant that she was where the magic was born. She could be the start of mortal magic on Midgard, bringing them into the age where they would be worthy of a proper alliance and interaction with Asgard, without fear of the Jotun or any others invading their home world because they could fight back. They could travel the whole world tree once magic had spread among them.

She - Queen Elsa of Arendelle - was a step in that direction.

"Show me what you can do," he said - it wasn't quite a demand, but nor was it a request. It lingered somewhere between the two, friendly but insistent, polite but eager.
