Loki | MCU ([info]subtletrick) wrote in [info]toboldlyrpg,
The way her voice carried - the uncertain curiosity it held - was even more interesting to Loki than her magic was, perhaps. Had she truly never experienced others with magical abilities? Was it so uncommon, where she came from? How had she learned, if not under the teaching of someone else? The thought that perhaps she, too, had been planted in a place she was not meant to be, reared its ugly head before he succinctly dismissed it. He was not going to dwell on that issue at the present time. No, for now, he had more interesting and less distressing things to think on.

"I am... like you, yes, I suppose." Loki's response was with perhaps a slightly warmer smile, a hint of amusement coloring the words. "I gather that is not something you are accustomed to?"

Her offer to warm the room was met with a small shrug and an even smaller shake of his head. "No need, my dear. The cold has never bothered me." That comes out neatly enough; he used to consider it a point of strength that he never seemed to feel the cold while his brother Thor and his companions all required heavy cloaks or generally reacted much more unfavorably to the cold. He'd always thought that was his one advantage over his brother - so he was, at least, accustomed to that part of it. The why, now... that was a bit less pleasant, but it was easy to shrug off and carry on.

"My name is Loki," he offered, stepping forward slightly and offering a hand to her in greeting. "King of Asgard."
