WHO: Malia Tate and Stiles Stilinski
WHEN: 226403.27
WHERE: Malia's room (D32)
SUMMARY: Awkward reunion FTW
WARNINGS: Teen Wolf spoilers likely

Stiles was a bit confused by Malia's comments during their conversation. The whole thing about finding out Peter was her father had been quite a while ago. Why was she upset about it now, and claiming it was only a few days ago? She must have hit her head, or maybe she ate some bad meat. Maybe she was reacting to the fact she'd had to reach out to him, and connect with him, in order to wake him up in the train station so they could all get out of there. He didn't know what the problem was exactly, it could be any number of things really, but something was definitely wrong and he wanted to know what it was.

He figured the only way to figure it out would be to see her, and talk to her face to face. Things were awkward between them anyway, without Malia being all weird about Peter. Seriously. They were supposed to be past that by now. Peter was her father, Peter had almost died to get a message to her, and when it came down to it, even when it looked like he was only looking out for himself, he'd come back to help her. Stiles didn't particularly like Peter Hale, but he had a new respect for him.

Stiles made his way to Malia's room. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't a little apprehensive about seeing her. She was being weird, and he honestly wasn't sure what to expect. He drew a breath to steel his nerves, then reached up to knock. "Malia? It's me. It's Stiles," he said, though he was pretty sure she could probably smell him through the door.

Malia couldn't believe that Stiles didn't remember. Not only was it totally unlike him to forget something that important, but he'd been calling her and texting her since it happened, trying to apologize for it. How could he just blow it off like it was something that happened so long ago that it didn't matter anymore? Boys were stupid. Even smart boys were stupid.

She was in a rather bad mood to begin with, because she really didn't want to be here. Everything about it was unnatural and man made and that terrified her...even before she thought of the empty vast maw of space that existed right outside the thin metal walls. No. She did not want to be here. Her feet very clearly belonged on the ground.

She smelled Stiles before he even k picked and opened the door, frowning. Her hair was longer than when she'd seen him last and her face was more feral; as if she hadn't been out of the woods (literally) very long. Sighing, she stepped out of the way.

"As you can see, there's nothing wrong with me."

Stiles squinted, as if narrowing his eyes would make things make sense. He frowned, and stepped into the room, turning his head to keep his eyes on her as he moved past her.

"No. Everything's wrong. Your hair. Your...eyes. Everything. You look like...like when we first met." Give or take. Their first meeting was a touchy subject, after Scott Alpha'd her into turning human again, and then Eichen House. Yeah, not Stiles' best moment. He didn't really like to think about that.

He'd gone to Eichen to try and evade The Nogitsune, to relieve his dad and Scott of any responsibility if the spirit managed to get to him, after all. His plan hadn't worked exactly, but he'd connected with Malia there and...well. Their relationship was a unique one.

"You really just found out about Peter? So you don't know what happened with The Dread Doctors and The Ghost Riders?"

"What's wrong with my hair and eyes?" She definitely hadn't done anything to her eyes and her hair was the way it had been since she'd been changed back and had had a chance to brush it for the first time. Something was going on here and she didn't like it at all.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," she said, looking completely confused. "Who are the Ghost Riders and the Dread Doctors?" She shook her head, crossing her arms as she looked at him like he'd lost his mind. "Last thing I remember is taking the PSAT's, and the Dead Pool and everything."

She hadn't forgotten stuff, had she? No, no way. Her mind was fine, despite what her dad had thought and the reason he'd sent her to Eichen."

"Yeah, a lot happened after that." Stiles scratched his head. He didn't know how he'd ended up on the ship. Apparently it pulled Malia in from an earlier point in the timeline. That was kind of weird, and defied explanation. But it indicated to Stiles that the force that brought them here didn't play by any specific rules. Great.

"I don't know how, but...I'm from the future. Or you're from the past. I mean, we're both from the past because the year now is a long way in the future, but." He sighed. It was hard to put into words. "Can we just skip your annoyance and get right to the forgiving me part? Since, I mean, you forgave me a long time ago in my experience."

Really? Malia wasn't amused, not even a little. Did he think he was going to get off that easily after he'd done? No way. Even if...as much as she hated to admit this...she already did. Showing up in this place and having him be the only thing that was close to familiar had helped. So did the fact that she really, really, really, really liked him. She sighed a long suffering sigh and her shoulders fell.

"Fine, whatever. I forgive you," she said, as if it meant nothing and he hadn't broken her heart. It didn't matter anymore. They had bigger things to worry about than that. She looked around her, shuddering. "I don't understand this place at all."

She looked back at him, realizing that having him here in the room made her feel less afraid. He was her anchor, and as long as he was close, she'd be able to stay calm. She knew she would. Or at least she had a better chance of it.

"So are we back together when you're from?"
