Who: Bobbi Morse & Pamela Isley
What: Roomies hanging on Risa
When: Mid afternoon
Rating: Low
Status: Complete

Bobbi was enjoying her time on Risa. She found herself wishing more and more that Hunter was here. The two of them would have had a lot of fun on the planet. Still, she had friends and her team members here so it wasn't too bad. Dressed in denim shorts and a white tank top, Bobbi found herself at one of the resort's beaches, a cocktail in her hand as she wondered along the sand. It was relaxing here though she was getting a touch restless. She knew she should take advantage of this time off though she had never done well with her downtime. She was better at it than she used to be. She wished she had her iPod with her so she could listen to music but hadn't thought to look for something similar before she left the ship. She wondered if she could find something here, it might be worth looking though it wouldn't have her music on it which would be a shame.

Kicking up the sand slightly with her bare feet, she sipped her cocktail slowly when she spotted a familiar face up a head. Approaching them she waved. "Hey Pamela," she said with a smile. She liked her roommate from the ship. The two of them had their own lives on the Enterprise but still found time to spend together when they had the opportunity to do so. It wasn't that bad an arrangement and it was nice having all the plants in the living room as well.

"They have their uses," She stroked another fern, then leaned forward and fixed her eyes on Bobbi. She didn't have much use for men. The number of them she didn't despise could be counted on one hand and only a few of those she'd consider friendly. Or at least interesting.

"You might get your wish. My kind of girlfriend partner came on board." Her expression softened. "It's complicated with her, too, though probably in different ways.

"I hope so but it's been awhile. I suppose we'll see this place is random enough that it might be possible. That's Harvey right?" she asked curiously. She'd seen Harvey around though she hadn't hadm uch to do with the other woman. "I think anything involving romance is complicated so..." Bobbi shrugged. Sometimes she thought it wasn't worth it but then she couldn't not do it either.

"Harley," Ivy corrected. "Harvey would be a dear friend of ours." Two-Face wasn't exactly a dear friend, but she'd liked him well enough when they were in Arkham Asylum at the same time.

"Harley and I are not exclusive. Her heart is too large to contain. As long as she comes back to me I don't particularly care, most of the time." The Joker, or anyone who might hurt Harley, tended to be the exceptions. "So. Complicated, by most people's definition of relationships."

"Oops," Bobbi laughed. "I don't even know why I said Harvey, sorry about that," she apologized profusely.

"Nothing wrong with polyamorous relationships. I don't know people back home who have them but I've come across. Most of our coworkers go the friends with benefits route with people just cause it's hard to form well meaning relationships" she shrugged. "I think if you trust each other then that is all that matters. Plus more people are becoming more accepting of different types of relationships too?"

"It started out that way. But strings came attached," Ivy admitted. It wasn't actually that easy to admit the loving part of it all and honestly, there were times Harley drove her crazy.

"Not everyone is accepting. But the people that matter, few though they might be. I don't get along with many people."

"Nothing wrong with that if it was something you were both happy with," Bobbi shrugged. "You do what works for you and that's what matters in the long run."

"No, but then I find those people don't really matter in the long run. If they really do they'll accept you and what you chose to do. Sometimes it's easier not having a lot of really close friends too," she admitted. Especially in her line of work. She'd lost enough friends over the years to be well aware of that.

It was easier not having many friends. Of course when one viewed humanity as a plague upon nature, it made keeping friends hard. "I have to agree with that. Too easy to open yourself to being wounded. Or disappointed when they inevitably prove to be worthless."

"That or I suppose in my line of work less friends to die. I've lost so many over the years," she admitted. It was hard thinking about them at times but she had come to terms with their deaths, she just missed them. Especially Izzy and Vic. There were others though but they had been her closest friends within SHIELD. Or some of them anyway.

"You're what they call a hero. If a hero doesn't die young, they invariably turn evil. At least," She twirled her hand. "That's been my experience. I've seen every hero of my world go bad at least once. Usually it's mind control. Not always. Sometimes, they just snap. It might be all that power."

"There's more truth to that statement than I want to admit," Bobbi said slightly bitterly. "I always did my job because it was what I was good at knowing I could die at any time. I have had friends 'turn evil' as you put it through brainwashing as well," she said thinking of Kara. She didn't regret giving up that safe house, what she regret was what happened to Kara. Despite what Ward and she believed she had no idea that anyone was there.

She truly had believed it to be empty.

"Do yours become un-evil?" she asked not thinking of a better word at the moment. Unevil? Not evil again? Returned to the Good sie?

"Sometimes. Not always," Ivy replied. "Once in awhile they completely change sides. But plenty of times, those of us on the wrong side of the law, change sides too." Harley was one of them, Selina sometimes. Even Ivy had helped the Bat on occasion. And there'd been more than one time she and Harley had taken down some really awful abuser.

"I suppose that makes sense. If you helped the 'good guys," she said using quotation marks around the words, "makes me think it's more a difference of opinions than just being on the wrong side of the law. Most 'bad guys', don't ever change sides," Bobbi replied with a shrug. She didn't think Ivy was that bad and honestly, she'd dealt with enough bad/evil people over her career that she doubted that she was that bad. Some 'good' people were just very uppity. Sometimes you had to break the law to get things done. She had plenty of times after all.

"There were times when I was more or less fanatical in my defense of the Green," Ivy said. And she still was, just better at tempering her worse pats.

"And if helping some men and women in tights aligned with that interest, I'm not going to argue."

Bobbi wasn't too surprised by that honestly. "Fair enough.I guess you all do what you have too," she said with a smile and nod. "I should let you go, I imagine you have plenty of things you wish to do," Bobbi added after a moment.

Pamela nodded. She certainly had things to do. "Enjoy your time."

"You too, I'll see you around," Bobbi said with a smile and wave before heading off to find some food.
