“Maybe because I meant what I said. I don’t want the whole school to know. I’m sorry I didn’t spell out that you could confide in someone you trusted. Next time I’ll make sure to write it down.” He didn’t mean it as an insult, but really this was ridiculous. Where they really going to argue about what was said, meant or not?
“You want to compete about being unfair?” Just asked, quirking his brow. “How about I tell you my deepest secret, you my very best mate. The first one except for my uncle, to find out about me and the first thing you do is take advantage of it, drop the F Bomb on me and expect an answer quickly.” he said, frowning and glaring at Wayne. “You have no idea the effect you have on people.” He shook his head and closed his eyes.
“I showed you vulnerability and you took advantage of it.” As soon as the words left his mouth, Justin regretted them deeply. Wayne would probably storm out of the room and stop talking to him for a few days or he would answer something and it would be Justin who would storm out. Either way, it was usually how the cold treatment would start. He wanted to apologise. Say he was sorry or even better: take the words back.
