Neville had a few good Lockhart stories, including a particularly amusing one where the golden-haired man had run naked through the corridors of St. Mungo's shouting that he was being chased by hags in disguise as Healers, but he refrained from telling it. Partly because the hilarity of the story didn't seem to fit the somber mood that had settled, and also because he never much liked talking about the hospital. It tended to raise awkward and uncomfortable questions that he didn't want to answer.
Though, as he thought about it more and more, he realised he probably wouldn't mind talking about it now. He had proved that he was just as brave as his father, his Gran had said so. There was silence for a while, and Neville actually found himself starting to drop off. When he caught himself dozing, he shook his head and sat up. "Want to come to Gryffindor tower with me?" he asked. "We can nap in the common room and annoy McGonagall together."
