Alex stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom of the dorm, trying to look like he wasn't trying too hard. He didn't know why Victoria was making him so nervous lately. They'd just been talking and it wasn't like they hadn't been friends for a while. He ran a hand through his dirty blond hair and sighed. The tank top was too much. He wasn't exactly one of the more built blokes in school. In fact his figure was almost girlish.
He walked back into his dorm room and grabbed a fitted old black tee shirt and threw it on with a pair of old blue soccer shorts. Sock and trainers, because he was not walking on those cold stone floors barefoot, and off he went down to the kitchens. He tickled the pear in the painting and the door swung open.
Alex grinned as the smells of the kitchen made their way to his nose. He hummed the tune he'd managed to write for Victoria on his guitar the previous evening and walked into the kitchen his blue eyes scanning the room for her. Spotting her he walked over making a point in his mind to focus on her face and not check out the rest of her. It would likely just make him nervous enough to spout out the fact that the span of your arms from fingertip to finger tip was the same as your height. Sometimes he hated being a Ravenclaw. "Hey Victoria," he smiled and leaned a hip against the counter next to her.
