As in "First". In my world anyway. Well, one of the First. My siblings and I were created using magic. Our mother got a tad overprotective when our youngest sibling was killed by werewolves. And, cast a spell which caused us to be immortal. There were downsides, like the blood drinking. But, you get used to it.

Good God, no. I've heard of those, and they sound incredibly dull.

Your reality is better for it. The human girl should have struck out on her own — neither the werewolf nor the vampire deserved her.

Are all vampires created by spellwork, or are they also conceived by the traditional bite? Do you have to consume human blood here, or does animal blood suffice? Do you prefer one blood type over another? Is your body capable of breaking down alternate food options?

No. The rest were created by our blood. When a human dies with vampire blood in their system, they become a vampire. But, it is that same magic which sustains them.

Animal blood can keep us going. But, it's like replacing a juicy steak to vitamin supplements. And, as long as I have a healthy diet of blood, my body keeps on working. So, digestive system, heartbeat. They all work.
