I'm going to need a drink, sword and a sparring partner. Who's game?

I could go for that.

Excellent. New to swordfighting or you got experience?

I know what I'm doing. I've been teaching my son.

That's awesome. And it's always good to teach the future generations. There's a few Fables back home who could defeat me on the sword department, but I'm still very good. Comes with centuries of practice.

The centuries do help. And, so does a good teacher. I was taught by Hook.

Oooh, old Hook still lives in your world. Nice.

I was taught by Edmond Dantes and Bluebeard myself. Charming was a great swordsman too but he refused to teach me, the dick. Add Snow White and your truly and you have the top three sword masters in Fabletown.

Yeah. Hard to kill that one.

Snow White and Charming are two of our top sword masters as well.

In my world he probably didn't make it out alive. Sometimes it's hard to keep track of the ones we've lost.

Ah, some things never change.

I think I could get behind this.

Sweet! How's your swordsmanship?

Never used one, but I'm a fast learner.

And I happen to be a good teacher. Trained with Bluebeard and Edmond Dantes back in the day.

In that case, I'll be able to add swords to my list of weapons that I know how to use. But like I said I'm a fast learner so once you give me the basics, we can have some sparring fun.

A girl can never have enough weapons. And that's good! No matter how long or short our stay here is, knowing how to fight with swords is a skill that never gets old.

This is very true. The more weapons you know, the more you can be ready for anything.

Why stop at regular weapons? In the past centuries I've perfected the art of using anything that isn't nailed down. Hell, even if it's nailed down there is a chance I can still use it.

Cause regular weapons are easier to list and people tend to only think of regular weapons for protection. But with my old job, you had to be good at using whatever was near you, sometimes that being the only thing keeping you alive.

More people should learn how to use swords. Especially if we keep ending up in like the 17th and 8th Centuries.

Exactly! I come from the 20th century myself but my last big mission still involved sword fighting. It's the kind of skill that always comes in handy, along with dirty fighting and lock picking.

Me too. But, demons are easier to kill with swords than with guns. Or hell, just whatever's lying around half the time.

I am a master of many arts and one those happens to the art of the improvised weapon. Anything can be used to kill if you are creative enough.
