I can see the appeal. Never been crazy about magic myself. It helped sometimes, but there is always a price to pay. And many powerful ones like to pray on the inexperienced.

And that's a new one, my own stepsisters never used any magic. At best they ignored me and at worst they were assholes. We were not a happy family. I take it things were not fun and games on your end either.

... Please tell me you didn't cut part of your own foot or something similar?
