When I talked to him, he was certain he's doing the right thing. He says that he still understands justice, but then he says things like a public trial is not an option because it's inefficient. Things that... don't even sound like him to me. Have I been that out of touch?
I don't know that he ever carried the fear like I did. Maybe he did. I think we all carried the weight of grandfather's legacy in different ways. I had his name, so maybe I was just forced to come to terms with that in a different way than Jacen or Jaina did. He told me multiple times that 'he isn't him'. He doesn't want to be seen that way, but he also seems to be unwilling to address some of the concerns I pointed out.
But then I pointed out that having a majority doesn't make something ethical, and I may have mentioned Palpatine, and he got super offended at that comparison.
Which he probably should have. It wasn't my best moment. I was right, but it wasn't my best moment.
