Not been to Wonderland. But, Neverland...not as nice as Disney makes out. I really would rather not go back.

I can't say I have much of an opinion on what Disney has or has not done with it. I don't know anything about it past the little bits I read in some of J. M. Barrie's works.

As far I know, the Rumplestiltskin of my world didn't survive the war. Or if he did, he never made it to the Mundy World.

That said, it's hard to imagine old Rumple as a fairy godmother.

Way I heard it, he killed the actual fairy, and then offered Ella a deal. Which was typical of him.

I was long gone and in the World Without Magic by then.

So, this isn't really new for you. Just the kidnapping part. I'd say it's not all that bad, but we keep getting tossed into a bunch of wars, which makes it's kind of bad. Or good. I guess it depends which way you want to see it.
