Who: Harry and Neville Where: Neville's Grandmother's When: Saturday Afternoon Statis: InComplete Rating: TBD
Summary:
Harry wanted some time with friends and the only way he got that was if he promised to keep an Auror close by. It wasn't like he'd be wandering London. It wasn't safe to do that and at this rate Harry felt as though it never would be for him. As much as he didn't want to be looked after, he knew it was for his own good. And after what had happened the last time he'd chosen to be on his own, he couldn't really argue.
So the same Auror that had dropped him off at the Lupin residence showed up to pick him up and take him to the Longbottom house. Harry was just happy to have a wand again and clothes that finally fit him. No more hand-me downs from Dudley. He was surprised to find that he'd grown again too. Harry was still skin and bones, but his legs were longer. He wore jeans and a T-shirt, sneakers, new glasses and his hair was all over the place perusual. In a bag he'd flung over his shoulder, he had some old text books, some Defense books he'd found at Remus' and a brand new wand. Same as his old one; Olivander had made it special just for him.
"Good afternoon Mr. Potter," the boy said. He couldn't have been much older then Harry by any means. This was the person Harry wanted to be? Tonks made being and Auror look cool, but this one was trying a little to hard. Prim and pressed, proper tone.
"You can call me Harry."
"Oh no, Mr. Potter. You deserve much more respect then that. Come along now, we have to stick to the schedule." He placed a hand on Harry's shoulder and with a snap, they were standing on Neville's front step, ringing the bell. An older lady came to the door frowning looking at the Auror and then to Harry.
"My word! Harry Potter! NEVILLE!! And you are..?"
"This is my babysitter," Harry smirked, but the Auror didn't find the humor in it.
"I'll be outside Mr. Potter, keeping watch. If you need me-"
"I'll send up flares," Harry sighed, coming inside to wait for his friend.
