Who: Bella & Voldiepants When: just after the veil thingy Where: here and there and everywhere Why: SHE'S ALIVE! Rating: iono yet Status: not done
Bella sat up suddenly. In fact, she jerked up quick enough to knock over a chair. Her wand was in her hand and pointed before the chair even hit the ground. Her eyes were wide. Her body was stiff an alert. And there was a curse at the very tip of her tongue.
But no one was there. Not the Dark Lord. Not itty bitty Potty. No one. Not a single Death Eater or Order member or student. And more than that, the room was spotless. It looked better than it had even in Bella's school days, like it was freshly built or something. Nothing was right. Bellatrix stood, wand at the ready, gazing all about her. But despite her high defense, there was definitely nothing to curse. The hall was emptier than she'd ever seen it.
Bellatrix was moving in flash. Steady and pulling her cloak around her war-torn body, she made quick work of getting out of Hogwarts. She moved first to the cover of the Forbidden Forest. She wasn't stupid, she knew what manner of beasts resided here. She also knew where to hide and how to make her way into Hogsmeade unseen. She needed to gather her wits about her for a moment, though. And this was the safest place to do it. She wiped the blood on her face, straightened her robes and the clothes she wore underneath. Then she sat down for a minute, brushing her hair back from her face and thinking. She tucked her hair into a bun, dropping her elbows on her knees while she tried to figure out what was going on.
It was obvious the battle was over. She knew enough about Hogwarts to tell that this was something rebuilt. She remembered that the last thing she'd done was jump in front of a Killing Curse aimed at Voldemort. She hadn't honestly believed the whelp had it in him. But considering she was sitting here now, she figured he probably had botched it. But how she'd ended up in the future was completely beyond her understanding.
With her thoughts as clear as she could get them, Bella made her way into Hogsmeade. She pulled her cloak about her, hood over her head. She must have looked a sight, cut and torn from battle, so she knew better than to take the main roads. She kept to the back until she spotted someone alone. Someone who looked good enough to grab and question. And no should be subjected to Bella's means of questioning.
A quick freezing charm was cast. Then she drew him to her. She snapped his wand. And without hesitation, Bella cast the Cruciatus at him. She held it for just a few seconds, but for someone who had never experienced it, that was long enough. "Tell me about the Battle at Hogwarts." She didn't give ultimatums. He would tell her or he would wish he had spoken quicker. Bella dealt in orders and pain. Giving and receiving both.
He told her what she wanted and then Bella killed him without thought or question. Sure, he'd done well in keeping himself from pain. But she couldn't just let him wander around and let the world know she was here. That was stupid and careless. Bellatrix was not careless. Not anymore. Not since Azkaban. She thought out her moves and covered her tracks well.
That was what brought her to this clearing. She remembered Voldemort had used it as a sort of owlry. It was easy to send and receive messages here without worrying about being tracked. There was pretty much nothing here, either. And while Bellatrix was exhausted, she wasn't going to just sit here and wait. She cast a few charms on the clearing to warn her of someone approaching and to ward off muggles. Then she slid down against a tree trunk, trying her damnedest not to fall asleep.
"Please, let him come here." Him? Her husband. Her lord. Her brother-in-law. Any of the three would do right now.
