"I will," Embyr promised, touched that Anthony had made such an offer. While she would probably do all right studying on her own, she tended to focus better when she knew that she'd have to perform her spells in front of someone. Even if that someone was Anthony Goldstein, and even if he promised not to laugh at her.
Anthony's remarks about her chosen career had her beaming, though the compliments were not, perhaps, what every woman (or girl) wanted to hear. Yes, Embyr was completely and utterly obnoxious when she wanted to be. Rather than see it as a personal flaw, she saw it as a positive side of her. She got what she wanted, whether it was inside information, an inflammatory remark made by a usually-conservative party, or a photograph that she really shouldn't have taken. She was good at her job, and soon enough that would start to pay off.
"Remember how I said that Candice is lucky to have you, and that you should just take my word for it? The same applies to this: you're going to do whatever it takes to get what you want out of life. I have no doubts about that. If it's working at Flourish & Blott's right now, then there's a greater purpose to it. You'll find a way." Embyr had never really had a difficult time finding reasons to believe in others. Unless, of course, they were Ministry officials.
"What's the next step? Are you saving money to move onto something else?" Em didn't take Anthony as one who would be satisfied with not knowing his next course of action. She, however, managed to while away too much time without having a plan. It was one of her faults.
