Re: Peter | Hope
After everything that happened tonight Hope needed to get out of that ballroom. Coming face to face with monsters Ho wore the faces of her parents had been a lot to deal with, even for a girl who’d literally been ready to kill the boy she loved to save the rest of the world from his father. From Malivore. It was one thing to think she was ready to do that and something completely different to find yourself being attacked by what looked like your own parents. She didn’t even have any white oak she could sue here, so it wasn’t like Klaus would stay dead. It also wasn’t like she wanted to actually kill either of them.
The battle was over now and Hope felt like she couldn’t breathe in the room. She’d managed to get her powers back under control again, but it was a shaky control, with all of the guilt and the grief over how she’d lost her parents to begin with bubbling to the surface. They’d both sacrificed themselves to save her. Because of things she’d done that have put them in that position to need to save her. Having her mom kidnapped so her dad would come home. Taking the Hollow back, thinking she would be strong enough to handle it. It was her fault. It was all her fault.
The lights started to flicker and and Hope took a long, steadying breath, trying to calm down. “I need some air,” she muttered to no one in particular before heading for the doors that lead outside. She’d hoped she would be alone, but there was someone else out there. Squinting at him briefly, she tried to figure out which one do the look-a-likes this was. Peter, she decided. He wasn’t wearing glasses and she was pretty sure Harry was still dealing with the aftermath of the battle.
